Tokina
This new Tokina lens is the first in a new generation of full frame (FX) lenses designed for professional digital SLR cameras like the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Nikon D700 and D3x. The 16-28 zoom range gives the professional photographer a super-wide angle of view to get close to subject for dramatic effect or to take in entire scenes. Silent DC Motor with GMR senor The 16-28 f/2.8 uses a newly developed silent DC motor that allows the lens to focus faster and more quietly then previous generations. The DC motor coupled with a new GMR magnetic AF sensor work together to increase AF Speed. Ashperical and Super-low Dispersion glass elements A new, 56mm in diameter, large sizes aspherical glass element is incorporated into the front lens group, while there are 2 more aspherical elements in the rear group. Three SD super-low dispersion glass elements are also incorporated through-out the optical design to reduce chromatic aberration, give maximum resolution, more even brightness and distortion correction. One-Touch Focus Clutch Tokina’s exclusive One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows the photographer to switch between AF and MF simply by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the camera to focus manually. There is no need to change the AF/MF switch on Nikon camera bodies and there is no second AF/MF switch on the lens for Canon, everything is accomplished by the focus ring.

XP2 is a sharp, fine grain ISO 400/27° chromogenic film, which means that while it records a black and white image, it requires processing in colour chemicals. The fact that it can be processed in colour chemicals is convenient and means that there will often be a quicker turnaround time on your film should you take it to a processor. Probably best suited for portraiture work XP2 gives great detail in shadows and highlights and because of an improved emulsion gives cleaner highlights and stronger blacks with a greater exposure latitude. For the best results the processor will need a designated XP2 channel, this will give genuine black and white prints. If not, then the effect will vary from sepia to light green.

The Lumix 14-42mm X lens is a true innovation in lens design. Its sheer portability (only 95g in weight and 26.8mm deep when closed) belies its prowess. Enhanced Power O.I.S. (optical image stabilisation) and Power Zoom are included, plus the optics themselves have Nano Surface Coating which cuts out flare and ghosting right across the visible spectrum. Four aspherical lens elements keep images razor-sharp and enable such small dimensions to be achieved, and two ED (extra low dispersion) elements are included to vastly reduce chromatic aberration (false colour fringes).Using an Inner Focus system with a stepping motor, extremely fast and quiet focusing is possible. In addition due to the reduced size and travel of the focusing lens, 0.1 second “Light Speed AF†is made possible. Finally, with a quicker aperture control, a decrease of approx 40% shutter time lag is achieved compared with the ordinary 14-42mm Mega O.I.S. lens.SpecificationsLens Construction: 9 Elements in 8 Groups35mm Focal Length Equivalent: 28-84mmNumber of Aperture Blades: 7 (rounded)Minimum Aperture: f/22Closest Focus: 0.2m (0.17x magnification)Angle of View (diagonal): 75° – 29°Included Accessories: Front and Rear Caps, Storage BagTIPA Award - Best CSC Expert LensConstructed with 9 elements in 8 groups, with 4 aspherical and 2 ED lenses, the Micro-4/3rds mount LUMIX G 14-42mm lens (28-84mm 35mm equivalent) is a power zoom, making it ideal for both still and especially video recording. The on-board electric zoom lever is complemented by a manual focusing lever. An enhanced built-in Power O.I.S. optical image stabilization feature aids in quality recording, and Nano Surface Coating technology results in a dramatic reduction of ghosting and flare. Close focusing capabilities are a mere 0.2 metres (0.66 ft.) at the wider settings and just slightly more at the telephoto end.
