Sigma
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens for Nikon is a hyper-telephoto lens designed for capturing distant subjects, whether you’re interested in Wildlife Photography, Aerial Photography or Action Sports Photography.Dust and moisture-resistant, this tough lens is one of the most affordable telephoto zooms available for DSLR camera owners. Measuring 26cm in length and weighing only 1930g, this lens is relatively lightweight and compact considering its focal range. Compatible with 95mm filters, this lens is almost 1kg lighter than Sigma’s 150-600mm Sport version. Benefitting from Sigma’s renowned quality glass, the 150-600mm Contemporary has a convenient zoom-lock switch that allows photographers to lock their lens at any chosen focal length. Additionally, this lens operates with full-time manual override, providing ultimate control over its internal focusing mechanisms. This lens has a focus limiting function that can be customised to user preferences from 280cm-infinity, using the Sigma USB lens dock. Compatible with both full-frame and APS-C type DSLR cameras, this lens comes with built-in optical image stabilisation, providing up to 4-stops of compensation. This allows photographers to work at slower shutter speeds and limits the need to use higher ISO sensitivity settings. Even at the extremes of its focal length, the Sigma EF 150-600mm produces images with strong shallow depth of field effects, despite its a f/5-6.3 aperture range. The 9-blade aperture construction of this lens helps it to deliver attractive out-of-focus highlights as the lens creates attractive separation between the intended subject and the background. Benefitting from Sigma’s Hyper-Sonic Motor focusing technology, this lens actuates quietly and quickly, moving its 20 glass elements in 14 groups swiftly for reliable and accurate focusing. The major differences between this lens and the Sport version is that the Sport version is physically larger. This is because it houses more glass elements for tackling aberrations and has a metal lens hood vs the Contemporary version’s plastic hood. The Sport version also has larger 105cm filter thread and features push-pull zoom operation, as well as rotatary. Built for professional use, with its robust, dust and splash-resistant construction, this lens will maximise the resolution of any DSLR camera that it’s paired with. We recommend you using a monopod or tripod with the Sigma 150-600mm for increased stability and comfort, optimising your use of this lens.

A polarising filter is probably the most useful all-rounder after a protective UV filter.Polarising filters can be used to reduce reflections on glass or water (and other non-metallic surfaces).Another major application is to increase colour saturation - particularly effective in landscape shots where the blue of the sky can be greatly enhanced (as shown in picture at top of page - top image before, lower image after). The filter itself is set in a rotating mount and you can vary the degree to which the image is affected by turning the front of the filter ring.It will reduce the amount of light reaching the film by a small amount (up to 2 stops), but a camera with TTL metering will compensate for this automatically. Please Note: This circular polarising filter is designed for autofocus cameras, camcorders, or manual-focus cameras with spot-metering. If you have a manual focus camera you can get away with using a linear polarising style of filter (although this circular one will work equally well). If using a lens wider than 28mm watch out for vignetting caused by the deeper-than-usual filter mount. All in all this is a fantastic addition to the enthusiast photographer's gadget bag, and highly recommended as the first filter to go for when building up an outfit. It is not a special effect filter but can be used to subtly enhance natural-looking scenes.

Sigma
The Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 EX DC HSM is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens suitable for anyone interested in Landscape Photography, Travel Photography and architecture for example. It is worth noting however that this lens is only designed for APS-C or DX sized Nikon DSLR cameras, meaning it is not compatible with full-frame (FX) cameras such as the Nikon D850. The 10-20mm f/3.5 offers photographers extreme to wide focal lengths. Its compact and lightweight construction make it a comfortable lens to use all day, paired with a DX DSLR such as the Nikon D7500 or D3400. The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) of the Sigma 10-20mm delivers fast, accurate and near-silent autofocusing. With a minimum focusing distance of 24cm, this lens will produce a near fisheye photography look with an ultra-wide field of view when taking portraits for example. It also offers manual override so that users can take over control of focusing without having to physically turn off the autofocusing function. One of the key features that sets this lens apart from its competition is that it has a constant f/3.5 aperture. This gives photographers total control over their aperture settings as they progress through the lens’ zoom range. Both Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) Super Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements are included in the structure of this lens, as well as two hybrid Aspherical lens groups. These quality elements and specialised lens coatings combine to minimise the impact of chromatic aberrations, flares and ghosting, boosting overall image resolution and clarity. Additionally, the 7-blade aperture construction of this lens also helps to deliver attractive out-of-focus highlights as the lens creates attractive separation between the intended subject and the background when shooting at wider apertures. A good choice for events photographers and filmmakers, the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 is a fantastic alternative to native lens options at this focal range and a solid investment for anyone who is keen to build their kit.

Colorama
A number of people have noticed that we don't show the actual colour of the background - here is a brief summary of the reasons why:The many different types of monitor on the market can display the same colours in different ways. For example if you're reading this on a laptop then the LCD display will be giving a different effective view of the colour of this page to a conventional CRT monitor (even if you are using the same colour space). Aperture Grill CRTs (such as the Sony Trinitron) can also lead to subtle differences in perceived colour. For further information on different types of monitor, go here. The brightness and contrast settings you have chosen will also have an effect on the perceived colour.Your monitor may be set to 6500K or 9200K colour temperature, leading to a marked difference in colour rendition.Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers display colours differently.PC and Macintosh systems display colours differently.Browsers render colour using HEX values (e.g. #FFFFFF = White), which currently do not directly relate to the colours used by Colorama.Your monitor may be set at any one of a number of colour depths, e.g. 256 colours, 16 bit, 24 bit, etc. When a colour is specified the monitor will need to approximate it using red, green and blue pixels, and the lesser the colour depth the more likely the potential for inaccuracy. For a good overview of Websafe Colours, including some useful coverage of the side-issues mentioned above, go here: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/00/37/index2a.html?tw=designAs anyone who has ever used a household paint catalogue will know colours cannot be guaranteed accurate when printed (so this situation, although regrettable, is not exactly without precedent). To get an accurate example you really need to see a sample of the actual paint. The same holds true for colours on the internet. There is honestly no way to depict the subtle difference between Polar White and Arctic White, for example.Rather than mislead customers with an inaccurate approximation of the background's colour we have opted to make them available as is. Many customers have previously bought backgrounds and so already know which colour they want, or use swatches to establish exactly which they need.If you would like to see a sample of a particular colour before you buy we recommend contacting Colorama themselves, who can post a sample of the actual background paper. They can be contacted via their website at:www.coloramaphotodisplay.co.uk
