Tom Dixon Pendant Blue Glass Ø 10 x H 12 cm - Ceiling rose : Ø 12,5 cm Tom Dixon's latest lamps are interesting because the design company has left in marks made by the manufacturing process that would normally be removed. Made from heavy weight, extra thick pressed glass, the Bead and Top pendant lights were inspired by solid globules of glass that come from the furnace ready to be blown. They each bear the unique marks of the manufacturing process. It's pretty subtle but it's still an interesting direction. Bead and Top both exaggerate the qualities of this rediscovered material: the halogen G9 bulb which is entirely encased by especially thick pressed glass emits a particularly beautiful, subtle light.
