Alessi Milk pot Black,Glossy steel Metal L 11 cm x W 7 cm x H 10 cm Memories from the future is the re-edition of Alessi projects for tea and coffee, bar and kitchen from the '20s, '30s and ‘40s. On a professional level, that of design management which is my job, the normalcy of these household objects has always struck me. They weren't just normal in the sense that they were used everyday at home. They were examples of an era of the consumer society which was destined to disappear quickly: a time I'd call pre-design, prior to the phenomenon of Designer goods in all of our homes... They weren't part of a culture of glossy, designer products and they were heavily influenced by almost obsessive attention to function, proper manufacturing methods and production costs. Alessi Milk pot Steel Metal H 16,8 cm - Ø 6 cm This superb jar to milk to pure and elegant design is part of the new service to coffee and tea created by Jean Nouvel for Alessi. This one corresponds to an evolution of the project presented in 2003 for the operation Tea & Coffee Towers. The French architect remained faithful to the original model based on a cylindrical form, inspired from the sixties. The usage of the stainless steel confers to the service a tremendous elegance. Carafe, compact, mugs and jar to milk are isothermes thanks to a double partition metal. A very beautiful plateau as well as a sugar one complete the service. Double wall

Alessi Sugar bowl Transparent Glass Volume : 13 cl - Ø 8,5 cm - H 9,5 cm Lisa Vincitorio, the Australian designer who had previously designed the Fruit Loop fruit basket for us, comes up with an encore with this amazing sugar castor, which struck us with its magical optical effect. The initial idea was a very thick transparent container. Production possibilities from plastic to solid glass were considered and eventually we chose a double layered borosilicate glass container. This solution gives the impression that the contents are floating inside a crystal bubble, giving a sensation of extreme lightness. Every item is produced with lead oxide free glass and is entirely hand-made. Any small bubbles or other slight imperfections cannot be considered a fault, but a peculiarity typical of artistic manufacturing that makes every piece unique and different from the others. Refilling the castor is done through a hole in the base which is closed by a small transparent silicone cap.
