Extremis Set table & benches Sky blue Metal W 92 cm × D 147 cm × H 74,5 cm - Seat : H 43,5 cm Picnik - a table for two, please ! By 2002 it was clear that Gargantua was here to stay. The Extempore range, a trendsetter in combining wooden and aluminium created four years later, was also well on its way to becoming a real design classic. By this time a consistently growing number of Extremis products found their way to foreign markets and became especially popular in large cities. This metropolitan atmosphere inspired Dirk Wynants to write the next chapter in the Extremis saga. He noticed that major cities had a lot of large buildings with limited outdoor space. And he also realized that more and more families all over the world consisted of two people. Picnik, for which Dirk Wynants appealed to the expertise of Xavier Lust, was the perfect answer to these urban demands... This table for two is in fact much more than just a table seating two people. Picnik was of course primarily designed as a table and bench seat combination for small outdoor spaces. But thanks to its striking looks - both solid and stylized at the same time - Picnik is also frequently used indoors. Combining several Picnik tables in (semi) public spaces creates an almost artistic effect. It is therefore not at all surprising that Tate Modern chose Picnik for its visitor resting spots. After having won seven design awards, it is clear that Picnik will go down in design history as a true style icon. Is Picnik then merely a stylistic gem? Definitely not. By using special cutting and bending techniques each Picnik can be made from exactly half a standard sheet of aluminium, thus completely eliminating all production waste. Its curved shapes do not only provide the necessary sturdiness, they also guarantee the perfect drainage of liquids. So Picnik is very maintenance-friendly, and as it is stackable as well, it is also really space-saving, a definite plus from a logistics point of view. In short: another textbook example of Extremis design. 2 seats - For indoor and outdoor use

Extremis Set table & benches White, wooden Metal Table : Ø 146 cm x H 74.7 cm / Rotating central part of the top : Ø 70 cm – Bench : H 44.8 cm x Prof 30.2 cm -– Total diameter table + bench : Ø 227.5 cm Dirk Wynants, founder of Extremis brand and designer of Pantagruel table : When we started Extremis 20 years ago, we named our first piece Gargantua. It was based on a famous 16th century series of novels by a French monk, Rabelais, describing the life of two giants: Gargantua - whose appetite was unstoppable - and his son Pantagruel. The Gargantua table has a huge tabletop and is even extendable by putting the benches at table top height. The second generation, Pantagruel, is not a better version of his father, he's just different. The frame comes powder coated as well as galvanised, and there are several material options for the fixed benches and tabletop. It also features a Lazy Susan to easily pass through things. Customers can now make a choice between those two, according to the expected intensity and required flexibility of use. There's no perfect table for everyone, in those 20 years we've learnt that each person has a different focus. Outdoor use - The round tabletop of the Pantagruel is fitted with a white Lazy Susan, a central revolving tray. - Umbrella hole - Weight : 163 Kg - 8 persons

The design connects a table and two benches and it is deeply anchored in the Belgian culture: People can sit together at Hopper, eat together drink and celebrate. The table is inspired by the Belgian beer culture that is fixed in the Westhoek region (the region in which Dirk Wynants, the designer lives and where Extremis has its company-seat). Hopper is the x-th interpretation of the Extremis-Philosophy: Coming together of people with outdoor furniture which combines functionality and innovation. Hopper reminds of the recognition of the long beer tables, but additionally offers more comfort. Thanks to the four lateral introduction spaces it is not necessary anymore to climb over benches or table-mates. And the - according to the table's feet - inclined table-border is more an emphasis on the hanging hops that are typical for the region. Who turns around, can use the table as a perfect backrest... The first prototype of Hopper is nearly ten years old. Especially to simplify the initial idea took a lot of time. Extremis used H.O.T. wooden as well as galvanized steel for the frame and table-feet. Outdoor use - Weight : 213 Kg - 6 persons
