Born in 1982 Jean-Charles Gandrille had composed his first work by age 10. As a prolific organist Gandrille composed significantly for his instrument Reflets being no exception. Reflets won Gandrille first prize at the Composition Competition of the Comminges Festival in 2006. With a typical performance lasting around 15 minutes Reflets is a highly modern work. The edition includes a helpful glossary of Organ sounds used in the piece. For all advanced organists Gandrille provides a challenging yet excitingand varied addition to the repertoire.

Creating a unique opportunity for adult and children's choirs to collaborate it offers a fun and educational performance experience for singers both young and old. This monumental cantata for massed forces was commissioned by David Hill and The Bach Choir and premiered as part of the 2012 BBC Proms. Setting a specially commissioned text by Charles Bennett Chilcott skilfully uses both metred and unmetered sung and spoken lines to highlight the text's environmental message. While the musically interlinked choirs sing of humanity's negligence towards nature in a series of dream images the endearing and innocent tunes of the children's Choir ultimately evoke a sense of hope for the future. These eight pieces have been selected from a collection of 18th century music for three clarinets. The original title reads: Partia a Tre. The collection consists of thirty short pieces all of them anonymous except for number one in this book. 'Di Rösser' is probably Valentin Roeser clarinettist composer and author of Essai d'instruction à l'usage de ceux qui composent pour la clarinette et le cor (1764).

Born in Richmond Hill New York on 10 December 1913 Morton Gould was recognised early on as a child prodigy with the ability to improviseand compose. At the age of six he had his first composition published. He studied at the Institute of Musical Art (now the Juilliard School) but his most important teachers were Abby Whiteside (Piano) and Vincent Jones(composition). Gould enjoyed an illustrious career. In addition to gaining a Pulitzer Prize for 'Stringmusic' he was Musical America's 1994 Composer-of-the-Year and recieved a Kennedy Center Honor in recognition oflifetime contributions to American culture. A long-time member of the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers Gould was elected president of ASCAP in 1986 a post he held until 1994. In 1986 he waselected to the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. He also served on the board of the American Symphony Orchestra League and on the National Endowment for the Arts music panel.

Blind from birth Hollins was fortunate enough to attend the innovative Royal Normal College for the Blind outside London whose music-intensive curriculum suited his musical gifts. For more than forty years he was the Organist at the Free St George’s Church in Edinburgh and he travelledthe English-speaking world repeatedly on concert tours.
