Daniel Roth 's Triptyque (hommage à Pierre Cochereau) for Organ. Daniel Roth was born in 1942 in Mulhouse in France. He studied music at the Paris Conservatoire where he won first prizes in harmony counterpoint fugue accompaniment Organ and improvisation going on to win prizes in international competitions including the SACEM prize for Organ composition and the first Grand Prix de Chartres for interpretation and improvisation. His performing career has been international with recitals conferences performances for radio and a large number of records. At the same time he teaches Organ improvisation and interpretationat the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt/Main Germany. He also composes and his works are published and played the whole world over. Daniel Roth is organist at the church of Saint-Sulpice in Paris.

From sunrises and solar eclipses through rainbows the scattering of light sunset in the daytime moonrises the northern lights the new moon crescent moons and stellar constellations to shooting stars… our observations encompass all this and much more. The Mystery of Light is the first of a series of pieces with the same theme. ‘NIGHTLIGHTS’ deals with lights of the night: created partly by nature and partly by man himself and consists ofthree movements: Opener and Star Shower Lunar Eclipse and Aurora and Fireworks .
