Lotus Land was undoubtedly the work for which Scott is best known. Written in 1905 Lotus Land achieved great popularity and was arranged for a vast array of instruments. It is a dreamy impressionistic piece and extremely innovative for its era. Cyril Scott was a British composer active from the very late 19th century and through the 20th whose work could be termed late Romantic with elements of impressionism with free use of exotic harmonies. Scott was an extremely prolific composer who left more than four hundred works ranging from symphonies operas and concertos to many works for smaller ensembles solo instruments and short songs.Virtuoso Violinist Fritz Kreislerwas the premier Violinist of his day and some believe the greatest Violinist of all time. In addition to his original compositions Kreisler often transcribed or arranged the work of other composers.

An Epic Tone Poem based on Taiwanese Traditional Melodies-Satoshi Yagisawa’s often-dramatic concert band works are not only played in his homeland of Japan but also throughout Asia and further a_x001F_field. The commission for this work in fact came from Taiwan upon which Yagisawa drew inspiration from the traditional hunting songs of the Taroko a people native to Eastern Taiwan.

Prex Lausque has been composed by Rory Boyle for SATB Chorus and Piano. Scottish composer Rory Boyle has won several important musical awards notably the BBC Scottish Composers' Prize(1971) two Royal Philharmonic Society Prizes (1973 and 1975) and the Zaiks Prize (1987) for his orchestral score 'Winter Music'. His list of works covers most genres and has been performed and broadcast widely in Britainand abroad. He has been commissioned by many festivals societies and leading performers including Evelyn Glennie Nicholas Daniel Peter Seivewright and the Fine Arts Brass Ensemble and he has also written extensively foryounger players including four children's operas; he was the first Composer Laureate for Schools with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra a position he held for three years.
