for SATB unaccompanied This is a beautiful setting of words from Act 3 Scene 2 of The Tempest. The opening soprano and tenor melody is based on a dreamlike oscillating two-note cell which threads throughout the piece broadening out into the climax of 'a thousand twangling instruments' before subsiding back into the opening calm. Lively light and with a dancing quality The Isles is full of Noises comes from Act 3 Scene 2 of Shakespeare's The Tempest a comedy that is interspersed with many songs particularly by the air spirit Ariel. Bob Chilcott has created a terrific work for unaccompanied mixed chorus a piece that was commissioned by the Leith Hill Musical Festival in celebration of its centenary in 2005.
