Homecoming is a distinctly American piece of music which ventures emotionally from doubt to hope and finally to celebration. The most simple wind instrument of all the human voice echoes meaningful homecomings wherever home may be and from whatever circumstance one returns. Written for the soldiers of the U.S. Army TRADOC Band Homecoming seamlessly flows between traditional styles that originated in the U.S. from post-minimalist concert music to jazz. As the music grows into a waltz rhythm welcoming smiles dance with it to the end as loved ones are reunited.

A lovely lilting piece for unison children's choir or solo voice

(Fantasia for Concert Band)-Taking inspiration from the lakes of northern New York state as well as Niagara Falls Falling Water is composed in the form of a fantasia featuring multiple sections of varied textures restless tonality and dramatic energy. Breaking free from some of the usual conventions of traditional concert band writing this work is fresh sounding and a welcome addition to the repertoire for young bands.

Released in 2005 the album Once Around The Sun is the outcome of Joby Talbot 's residency with Classic FM. During his year in residence Talbot composed a new piece of music each month scoredfor up to five instruments. The resulting twelve compositions were then premiered on Classic FM and were recorded on CD. This exciting version for the concert stage features a driving Latin pulse powerful brass riffs and rhythmic energy throughout. Sure to be a fun and entertaining number.
