The Irish singer-songwriter Gilbert O’Sullivan possibly had his greatest success in 1972 with Clair. With its jazzy harmony this song deviated a little from the spirit of the time. Stefan Schwalgin took the theme of Clair as a starting point and gave the melody to the alto saxophone.
