When DMM designed the Alpha Clip they were determined to produce a super, clip friendly biner. The bent gate, with its flared-out barrel shape works in perfect harmony with the kinked and groove-patterned back bar. The 26mm variable width nylon gives the perfect set up, it is easy to grab if you are bolt-to-bolting your way up to the belay during a redpoint practice session. The sling also tapers down to a neat 16mm ensuring it sits securely in the crook of the biner and always loads correctly.

A classic all round wire gate biner with a lightweight I-Beam construction, the Spectre 2 is made with an easy to handle back shape and generous rope radius. The nose profile has been modified to protect the gate and the rope basket (the crook at the top where the rope runs) is deeper, so safer. As quickdraws are so routinely made up with weight-saving skinny dyneema tape nowadays, the shape has been tweaked to accomodate this, ensuring it's aligned correctly. Basically you get a great biner which has been fine tuned to be even better: big enough for gloved winter hands, tough enough to rely on, but still light enough to carry a rack of them up day-long multipitches.The Quickdraw set places a Spectre 2 at either end of an 11mm Dyneema sling.

The Spectre 2 is the perfect option if you use a lerger biner while also working well with wnter gloves. The Spectre has a deeper 'rope basket' while the design alos means it works with the skinny Dyneema. This is a pack of five.

If you are looking for a classic all rounder, then this is the winter tool for you. The adze version of the Fly is a hugely popular tool that performs extremely well on all sorts of terrain, from arm wilting icefalls, to tricky mixed routes and alpine summits.The straight lower section of the shaft plunges easily into snow, while the curved upper section saves your knuckles from getting bashed and allows reachy placements over the top of ice cauliflowers or turfy bulges.It's fitted with a T rated pick as standard, which means it is robust enough to cope with the rigours of modern mixed climbing and with a lower hand rest which provides support and a upper rest which enables leashless climbing.

A comprehensive set of the finest in crack protection. The grooved, sculpted curves of the Wallnuts fit into a wide variety of crack configuration; the tapering wedge profiles of the Offsets hold fast in awkward, irregular, flaring placements; and in bigger cracks, there's nothing quite like the confidence inspired by a well placed Torque Nut, which allow for both standard and camming-action placements. These nuts come in four sizes that cover a very large size range, and work well in standard placements but also have an extremely efficient camming system. The double dyneema* sling is protected on the top by a large countersunk groove, which also makes racking them much easier. In addition, they are anodised for recognition and corrosion protection. These torque nuts are sold as a set

DMM updated the conventional design by dropping the wire into a recess with a full radius to keep it protected and give extra strength, creating the DMM HB Alloy Offset. They also reduced the weight with lightening holes on the two larger sizes. On slightly flared placements nothing fits like an Offset. Get a set as a back up for your Wallnuts and prepare to be converted.

There are lots of nuts on the market, but Wallnuts are amongst the best because of their design, the materials that they are made from and the attention to detail that goes into their manufacture.

The Brenin ABS Harness from DMM is probably one of the closest designs to an original harness and it has a reputation for incredible durability.With a vertically aligned belay tie-in loop and circular leg loops it is simple yet sturdy and the 44mm webbing with Auto Buckle System is tough and practical while the whole thing offers a huge range of fit.

The DMM Alpine Centre Harness is a fully adjustable 'all-season' harness manufactured from 44mm high tenacity, abrasion and UV resistant flat webbing. It was originally conceived to meet the demands of winter mountaineering, however, with its uncomplicated design features it is particularly well suited to group activities and centres. With a simple robust design with thread back buckles and a high central tie-in point it is easy to use and offers less chance of inversion should the wearer take a fall.

The Fly Axe from DMM strikes a balance between clerance for climbing, ease of use when plunged into deep snow and good self arrest performance thanks to it's gently curved shaft. The hot forged handle is straight enough to plunge easily through snow, while the spike on the bottom gives good purchase when walking or making progress on snow slopes. The Cirque Alpine Axe from DMM is fully T rated for robust performance in the harsh winter environment. The gently curved pick and shaft combine to give excellent self arrest performance, while a spike on the handle provides grip and stability on snow and ice slopes. A full size adze makes step cutting and ledge chopping easy, while the shaft allows efficient plunging of the axe into snow when making progress. The Cirque comes equipped with a standard leash for security should you accidentally drop the axe.

The Raptor Alpine Axe from DMM has a gently curved shaft that gives clearance when swinging without compromising the ability to self arrest.
