Ideal for use with our Pre-cat varnishes and lacquers, this pre-cat basecoat provides an effective sealer on furniture, floors and other wooden surfaces. Containing filling properties, Pre-cat basecoat fills minor blemishes and scratches on wooden surfaces helping to ensure a smooth final finish. This product also has excellent penetration properties ensuring that it sinks deep into the grain providing effective adhesion for the top coats.

Acid-cat basecoat provides an effective solution when trying to achieve a level of smoothness on wooden surfaces. Containing filling agents, acid-cat basecoat easily fills small imperfections. Dry surfaces can then be sanded to a smooth finish in readiness for the application of a top-coat.

Pigmented Acid-cat Primer with its filling properties can help to ensure both good adhesion and a smooth finish on wooden and MDF surfaces. Perfect for use with our Acid-cat lacquers and varnishes, it can be applied to help fill minor scratches and imperfections in the wooden surface then lightly sanded to help ensure a smooth top coat finish.

Although solvent based varnishes and lacquers can be directly applied to wooden and MDF surfaces, base coat primers can help to keep the true shade of the lacquer or varnish being applied, which may lighten or darken slightly if applied directly to wood. Our Pigmented Lacquer Primer also helps with adhesion and can help to fill minor scratches and blemishes in the surface of the wood.
