Requisite Fodder Brics are great boredom busters for horses and ponies that contain compressed forage nutrients. They’re ideal for occupying windsuckers, crib biters and rehabilitating horses, as well as being convenient for travelling and when staying away from home.Sold singularly, they’re available in 2 types: the Alfalfa Fodder Bric (type A) and the Timothy Fodder Bric (type B). Both are non-heating, high in fibre and free from straw and additives. The gnawing action is satisfying for the horse and makes the feed last longer.Type A consists of pure Alfalfa (Lucerne) which is a high protein forage, rich in both calcium and magnesium. This acts as an antioxidant because of the carotene content which is a precursor for the production of vitamin A. Its low sugar content makes it ideal for laminitics, horses prone to tying up and those with a tendency to get filled legs.Type B consists of compressed Timothy grass that is high in fibre and free from additives so helps more natural digestion. The 1kg compressed block is equivalent to a half slice of excellent quality hay. This Bric can also be fed to rabbits.Requisite Fodder Brics can be hung up in the stable, placed into a haynet to prolong the time it takes your horse to eat it, or alternatively they can be placed into a bucket to encourage a more natural grazing position.
