A polarising filter is probably the most useful all-rounder after a protective UV filter.Polarising filters can be used to reduce reflections on glass or water (and other non-metallic surfaces).Another major application is to increase colour saturation - particularly effective in landscape shots where the blue of the sky can be greatly enhanced (as shown in picture at top of page - top image before, lower image after). The filter itself is set in a rotating mount and you can vary the degree to which the image is affected by turning the front of the filter ring.It will reduce the amount of light reaching the film by a small amount (up to 2 stops), but a camera with TTL metering will compensate for this automatically. Please Note: This circular polarising filter is designed for autofocus cameras, camcorders, or manual-focus cameras with spot-metering. If you have a manual focus camera you can get away with using a linear polarising style of filter (although this circular one will work equally well). If using a lens wider than 28mm watch out for vignetting caused by the deeper-than-usual filter mount. All in all this is a fantastic addition to the enthusiast photographer's gadget bag, and highly recommended as the first filter to go for when building up an outfit. It is not a special effect filter but can be used to subtly enhance natural-looking scenes.

Sorry, teddy not included!!Important Note:The inset colour is for illustration only and may appear different on your screen from the actual background. Colorama
A number of people have noticed that we don't show the actual colour of the background - here is a brief summary of the reasons why:The many different types of monitor on the market can display the same colours in different ways. For example if you're reading this on a laptop then the LCD display will be giving a different effective view of the colour of this page to a conventional CRT monitor (even if you are using the same colour space). Aperture Grill CRTs (such as the Sony Trinitron) can also lead to subtle differences in perceived colour. For further information on different types of monitor, go here. The brightness and contrast settings you have chosen will also have an effect on the perceived colour.Your monitor may be set to 6500K or 9200K colour temperature, leading to a marked difference in colour rendition.Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers display colours differently.PC and Macintosh systems display colours differently.Browsers render colour using HEX values (e.g. #FFFFFF = White), which currently do not directly relate to the colours used by Colorama.Your monitor may be set at any one of a number of colour depths, e.g. 256 colours, 16 bit, 24 bit, etc. When a colour is specified the monitor will need to approximate it using red, green and blue pixels, and the lesser the colour depth the more likely the potential for inaccuracy. For a good overview of Websafe Colours, including some useful coverage of the side-issues mentioned above, go here: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/00/37/index2a.html?tw=designAs anyone who has ever used a household paint catalogue will know colours cannot be guaranteed accurate when printed (so this situation, although regrettable, is not exactly without precedent). To get an accurate example you really need to see a sample of the actual paint. The same holds true for colours on the internet. There is honestly no way to depict the subtle difference between Polar White and Arctic White, for example.Rather than mislead customers with an inaccurate approximation of the background's colour we have opted to make them available as is. Many customers have previously bought backgrounds and so already know which colour they want, or use swatches to establish exactly which they need.If you would like to see a sample of a particular colour before you buy we recommend contacting Colorama themselves, who can post a sample of the actual background paper. They can be contacted via their website at:www.coloramaphotodisplay.co.uk

Sigma
The 180mm f/2.8 is Sigma's flagship large aperture telephoto macro lens. It's the worlds first 180mm optically stabilized telephoto macro lens that offers effective correction of approximately 4 stops. This high perfomance Lens features three FLD (“F†Low Dispersion) glass lenses that have a performance equal to fluorite ensure exceptional correction of axial chromatic aberration and lateral chromatic aberration. A floating inner focusing system moves two different lens groups in the optical path to different positions. This system compensates for astigmatism and distortion and provides extremely high optical performance from infinity to 1:1 macro. The overall length does not change during focusing, ensuring convenient handling. Metal parts are used in the lens barrel ensuring high durability of the body.Optical Stabilizer (OS)This is the first 180mm optically stabilized telephoto macro lens in the world and offers effective correction of approximately 4 stops. The system compensates for camera shake even in the macro range photography where only a small amount of blur can be easily identified.Large Maximum Aperture of f/2.8This is the first 180mm telephoto macro lens in the world with a reproduction ratio of 1:1 and a maximum aperture of F2.8. The narrow depth of field enables photographers to emphasize the subject and the large aperture provides a bright viewfinder image. Together with the OS function, they help the photographer confirm accurate focusing.Flare and ghosting conscious designIn order to achieve high rendering on this flagship lens, flare and ghosting were thoroughly measured from an early stage to establish an optical design which is resistant to strong incident light such as backlight. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides sharp and high contrast images even in backlit conditions. The hood adapter extends the length of the lens hood and provides more effective shading to block out extraneous light which may have a harmful influence on the lens’s rendering performance.Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM)The lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), ensuring high speed and quiet AF as we as full time manual focus capability.Brass made bayonet mountThis lens incorporates a brass made bayonet mount which has both high accuracy and durability. A special treatment to reinforce its strength is applied to the surface giving it greater strength and making it highly resistant to long-term use.

Canon
The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens is a full-frame Canon lens primarily aimed at people interested in Wildlife Photography and capturing fast-moving action. Dust and moisture-resistant, this tough L-series lens is one of the most popular lenses among advanced and professional DSLR camera owners. Featuring a constant f/2.8 aperture enables photographers to have uncompromising control over their shutter speed and depth of field. This means that when progressing through the focal range of this lens, the aperture will not change unless the photographer is shooting in shutter speed priority mode or if they choose to adjust the aperture manually. The 8-blade aperture construction of this lens also helps to deliver attractive out-of-focus highlights as the lens creates attractive separation between the intended subject and the background. To combat the instability inherent in using a large telephoto lens, the EF 70-200mm features Canon’s advanced image stabilisation (IS) technology. This will allow users to take pictures with shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower. High quality Ultra-low dispersion (UD) glass elements are included in the structure of this 70-200mm lens. The five UD elements help to minimise the impact of chromatic aberrations and boost image clarity. The 70-200mm also benefits from Canon’s Ultrasonic Motor focusing technology, quietly and quickly moving its 23 glass elements in 19 groups, for accurate focusing. It also offers full-time manual focus override, enabling photographers to make fine adjust focus quickly without turning off the AF. This lens is built for professional use, with its robust construction and ability to maximise the resolution of any Canon DSLR that it’s paired with. $(document).ready(function() { $('.jcashback').hide(); var url = window.location.href; if (url.match('jessops')) { $('.jcashback').show(); }});Included AccessoriesET-87 Lens Hood, Tripod Mount (removable), LZ1326 Soft Case.
