Menu Chair Black Metal W 43 cm x D 54 cm x H 77 cm The first Menu chair ever is a three-legged one, and it's the result of deconstructing an item, piece by piece, with the purpose of obtaining an original design. The chair is created by Taiwanese duo: Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei, also known as Afteroom. Operating from their Stockholm-based design studio their inspiration derives from an intriguing interest of forms, senses, proportions, materials and cultures. And with a clear and non-compromising aesthetic vision, they take the meaning of simplistic design to a whole new level. The Afteroom Chair is an homage to Bauhaus and functionalism. The simplicity of its design combined with the quality of materials is what's important. We embraced the challenge of designing something minimalistic with clean lines, without in any way compromise its comfort. In that sense we've looked towards classic Scandinavian features as inspiration, says Hung-Ming. The rounded details such as the seat and flexible back support, both in wooden, contrast the solid steel frame. And when looking at the chair, it's difficult to differentiate what is what, due to the designers' attention to detail. Chen-Yen Wei: Afteroom Chair is based on the concept of reducing the amount of materials to the minimum and by doing so pushing the aesthetic appearance to the maximum. It's a designer's job to develop functional objects without compromising the aesthetics and it's important never to look back, unless it's for the purpose of finding very good references, of course. 3 legs

In 2010, the exhibition The Invisibles was taken place at Kartell Gallery. The series of chairs and tables, The Invisibles, was presented in the event. They were an exceptionally experimental pieces made out of the transparent blocks of acrylic. The poetic, yet dynamical presences reveal the essence of the pieces, and leave a mysterious scenery. The Invisibles goes beyond the concept of the products, and holds the quality as an art piece. This year, 2011, I am presenting The Invisibles Light. Tolix Chair Light pink Metal W 51 cm × D 46 cm x H 85 cm - Seat : H 44 cm French manufacturer Tolix unveiled a new range of colors for one of its most classic seat design. These colors (Les Couleurs ® Le Corbusier) are celebrating ‘constructeur' Le Corbusier's specific vision of how and why it should apply into objects, architecture and even paintings (he was a painter as well). The Model A chair has become an icon of industrial esthetics. It's unfailing popularity since 1934 has enabled to enter the Collections of the Vitra Design Museum, MOMA and the Pompidou Center. This mythical chair, crafted of sheet metal, has been assured by «it's fool-proof solidity, it's unequalled lightness, it's easy maintenance» advantages of which can be included «inexpensive». All merit goes to Xavier Pauchard (1880-1948) who was a pioneer of galvanisation in France. The different models (rustproof, robust and stackable) conceived by Xavier Pauchard found their place directly inside factories, offices and hospitals, as well as outside, on cafe terraces and in public parks. Embarked aboard the ship, Normandie, in 1935, these chairs also filled the aisles of the 1937 Exposition Internationale Arts et Techniques. Today this enterprise is endowed with the latest technology which accompanies it's numerous inherited manual processes and equipement. Moreover, it's with real legitimacy that Tolix received the label, «A Living Heritage Enterprise» awarded by the Ministry of Economics, Finance and Industry, in 2006.
