Driade Kosmo
Driade Kosmo Dish White,Blue Ceramic Ø 32 cm x H 2,4 cm The White Snow, designed by Antonia Astori in 1996, is not just an impeccable dinner service in white porcelain. The fine white china blooms with the English Roses that we were used to seeing on fabrics and cushions in romantic Old English cottages. However, this refined vision is combined with an entirely contemporary process of de-contextualization and fragmentation: the motif in fact works by parts. The overall image is recomposed by addition, and it can only be seen in its entirety with all five plates that make up the dinner service. A single branch is laid on each plate, an isolated bud, a flower in full bloom. Laudani&Romanelli return to the theme and deliberately play with the great tradition of bourgeois dinner services in white and blue. The result is in some way a timeless design. Together, the five pieces of the dinner service compose a floral harmonious group
