Carmen is the famous Opera by Georges Bizet acclaimed for its incredible songs and accurate depiction of emotion. This is the sheet music for the opening number Choeur Des Gamins arranged for Piano and Voice. The Opera is based on the novel by Prosper Mérimée with lyrics by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy. The performance is in the 'opéra comique' genre meaning musical numbers are interrupted by dialogue allowing the Opera to bridge the gap between comic musicality and serious realism. Sadly Georges Bizet passed away before he was able to experience Carmen 's worldwidepopularity.
