The cycle of five choruses is setto Lithuanian folk texts translated by Frantisek Ladislav Celakovsky and is written for unaccompanied male choir (TTBB Voices). The title page of the autograph score bears the note: “Composed on the journey from Prague to Vienna 12th of December 1878”. Nine pieces for solo guitar- Timescapes brings together nine varied compositions with the aim of broadening the repertoire of the intermediate Guitarist. Three of the pieces were originally written in 1979 as part of a cycle inspired by time and bylandscapes. These have now been integrated with more recent pieces which draw on similar or related ideas. The whole set can be played as a continuous suite with First Light and Beneath The Stars taking us almostfull circle. The pieces can also be performed individually and smaller suites can be created by grouping maybe three or four pieces together.

Hymnus Paradisi is composed for SATB chorus and orchestra with soprano and tenor soloists and is characterised by an extraordinary depth and power. The text includes lines from the traditional Latin Requiem along with lines from the Anglican burial service as well as the texts of Psalm 23 and Psalm 121. Because of the personal nature of the composition Hymnus Paradisi remained unperformed until 1950. This vocal score includes a piano reduction of the orchestral score.
