This mini-musical began life as a workshop project commissioned by June Keyte for late-teenage children at Kingsmead School Enfield. The three main characters are a contented boy an uncertain girl and a disillusioned person who can be a boy or a girl. The chorus can be any size. The part of the porter is a solo voice taken from the chorus. The staging and costumes can be as simple or elaborate as you wish but the opening and closing scenes must in some way represent a railway carriage with the three main characters sitting side by side. The piece offers some scope for the insertion of other songs about London to extend the performance in appropriate circumstances. Destination London is ideal for a school or youth group looking for a substantial item in a mixed programme or a group not yet ready to tackle a full-scale musical. The accompaniment can be piano alone but the addition of double bass percussion or any other instruments would add to the overall effect.

Rosita a Polka and Marieta a Mazurka are presented here as a pair of short but challenging pieces for the solo classical guitar. Castellon-born composer Francisco Terrega was a highly important figure in the revival of the guitar as a solo instrument at the start of the 20th century and these two dances form part of nearly 100 original works for the instrument.

John Rutter 's Shall I Compare Thee To A Summer's Day? for SATB unaccompanied. This secular work is set to the text of Shakespeare's famous Sonnet No. 18. Throughout the work Rutter skilfully weaves the figurative language of the sonnet within the lyrical melodic lines of the music. Shakespeare's expressive text is passed between the voices with the warm verdant harmonies enveloping the sonnet's use of imagery and the work's central metaphor of comparing love to a summer's day.
