Manhã De Carnaval is the title of the popular song by Brazilian composer Luiz Bonfa and lyricist Antônio Maria . Manhã De Carnaval appeared as a principal theme in the 1959 Portuguese-language film Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus). Manhã De Carnaval became one of the first compositions identified with Bossa Nova to gain popularity outside Brazil. The title was particularly popular in the United States where the song is considered to be one of the most important Brazilian Jazz/Bossa songs that helped establish the Bossa Nova movement in the late1950s. for violin-This is a wonderful collection of klezmer music inspired by the Jewish dances and songs of the klezmorim from Eastern Europe - from the lyrical HORA to the fast compelling FREILACH. Some of the pieces have a second part ad libitum - for playingtogether or for variation in a repeat. For the accompaniment chord symbols have been added and on the included CD there are complete versions as well as play-along versions of all pieces played live by genuine klezmer musicians.

For Une Belle Histoire Roland Kernen took his inspiration from the seventies French singer and composer Michel Fugain and his troop of singers and dancers known as “Le Big Bazar”. The cheerful melodic line of his 1972 hit Une belle histoire lends itself perfectly for brass band. Add a little French charm to any concert with this throwback to the hippy period of the early seventies.
