Piano/Choral Score-Commissioned by Classical Movements for an incredibly large ensemble of primarily “older” singers. Along with some brass keyboard and timpani this work serves as a fun fanfare-like flourish-filled opener for a festive program. SSAA-The familiar Austrian carol is presented here in a tender setting for SSAA voices with keyboard accompaniment. The text is new but vased on the Austrian carol. Close harmonies contrasted by unison sections create added appeal. Stanza two is arranged for 3-part voices with the melody in the soprano. This carol may be performed with the addition of optional strings flute and oboe. Ed. critica di C. Bacciagaluppi - Riduzione per canto e pianoforte-Pergolesi wrote his Mass in D major for an unknown occasion. The composition however is similar in quality and commitment to his other Mass in F major. Numerous manuscript copies all over Europe testify to the fortunate reception of the work in the eighteenth century. As was traditional in Naples Pergolesi limited his composition to the “Kyrie” and “Gloria”. The festive character of the work is emphasized by the rich scoring for vocal soloists five-part choir and a full orchestra of strings and winds. This edition made with strict philological criteria is based as its main source on a set of parts preserved partly in Naples partly in Montecassino. These parts were made for aperformance conducted by the composer who added various autograph annotations. Among the secondary sources are two period Neapolitan scores today in Bologna and Dresden. The book includes a historical introduction (which traces the history of the genre in Naples and the relationship between the two Masses by Pergolesi) and the critical notes.

This volume is split into three parts each dedicated to the three basic skills expected of a jazz trumpeter: teh ability to play together with others (Chapter 1) the ability to improvise (Chapter 2) and the ability to lead a wind section or bigband with his own instrument (Chapter 3). The volume comes with a DVD letting you watch and listen to some examples and most importantly play the section and improvisation exercises with the aid of a rhythmic backing track and a typical trumpetsection.
