Born in 1959 Pascal Proust studied music at the Orlean Conservatoire before entering the Paris Conservatoire. Predominantly a performer Proust has also composed a variety of significant works Une Hirondelle for Flute and Piano being no exception. Published in 2004 a typical performance of Une Hirondelle last about two minutes. Proust 's piece for Flute has been included in exam syllabuses since its publication and is suitable to beginner to intermediate level flautists. Une Hirondelle is a delightful addition to the Flute'srepertoire.
