The Bartók Performing Editions-Instruktive Ausgaben von Béla Bártok-Bartók taught piano at the Music Academy in Budapest from 1907 to 1934. In his first years as a professor the Budapest music publishers Rozsnyai and Rózsavölgyi commissioned him to prepare so-called instructive editions (including suggestions commentaries and fingerings for the performer) of several classics of the piano repertoire altogether more than two thousand pages of music. Bartók's editing reflects contemporary ideas about performance but is for the most part more detailed and elaborate than in other similar instructive editions at the turn of the century.Bartók taught piano at the Music Academy in Budapest from 1907 to 1934. Variations on a theme by Jean-Philippe Rameau- Tribute to a Maestro is an homage to Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683–1764) one of the most important French Baroque composers. Rameau was a hugely significant composer organist harpsichordist and music teacher: he also published several authoritative books on music theory. Jan de Haan based this tribute on a theme from ‘Les Sauvages’ (The Savages) the fourth act of Rameau’s ballet-opera Les Indes Galantes ( The Amorous Indies ). The work begins with two variations whereupon the striking theme can be heard. After a short intermezzo four more variations follow of which the last one is composed in Baroque style. MWV D 3 - Ballad For Chorus and Orchestra- This is the individual part for Violin 1 for Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's 'The First Walpurgis Night. A Poem by Goethe'. Goethe’s dramatic ballad 'The First Walpurgis Night' inspired Mendelssohn to write a magnificent and vivid portrayal of the conflict between an old heathen community and the new aspirations of Christianization between belief and superstition on both sides. In 1833 Mendelssohn had his ballad premiered but he decided to make far-reaching revisions before he finally had the work published in 1844. The Carus edition by the leading Mendelssohn scholar R. Larry Todd is based on the first printed edition of the score and thus the last authentic version ofthe work. This important choral work by Mendelssohn is now available in a modern Urtext edition with full score (in two languages) vocal score choral score and orchestral material available on sale as well as a CD recording by the Kammerchor Stuttgart conducted by Frieder Bernius (planned for autumn 2019).

SWV 453- This is the individual Organ part for Heinrich Schütz's 'Rejoice With The Wife Of Thy Youth'. This composition survives in the sources as a wedding song even though the occasion it was written for is not known. It is stylistically close to the Symphoniae sacrae I sharing its exquisite scoring with the last composition in the set (Bucinate in neomenia tuba/Jubilate Deo) with concertante instrumental parts for Cornett and Trumpet (or two Cornetts). The text taken from Proverbs has an opening verse in triple meter which recurs in the middle (shortened) and at the end of the composition in the style of a ritornello then commonly found in Italy. This verse endswith a characteristically dissonant transition for the upper instrumental parts to the final chord – as the key message of the composition.

RV 604- This is the individual Organ part for Antonio Vivaldi's 'In Exitu Israel'. One of a total of 13 psalms the present work based on psalm 113 was probably composed for the Easter Sunday in 1739. In 'In Exitu Israel' Vivaldi treats the voices homophonically (in block chords) accompanied by a String Orchestra and Basso Continuo. Although it is rather a short piece the text of psalm 113 is over twice the length of any of the other psalms set by Vivaldi but even set as a single continuous movement it still keeps the composer’s acute sensitivity regarding the emotional content of the text.
