Opening music is one of the first works for wind orchestra by Ben Haemhouts and was originally written under assignment from the Fanfare St. Pieters Kapelle Belgium. The slow mysterious introduction introduces the main theme that consists of the notes F C B-flat F a combination that was woven throughout the entire work. Then a stirring allegro part follows with a melodious passage in the euphoniums. The end is a long-drawn-out resuming of the beginning that builds up to a large climax still built on the same basic tones. This overture is a solemn openings work for every occasion.

E-flat major- Many wholly new corrections in the solo and orchestral parts. Piano reduction with a separate solo part as was customary in Beethoven ’s day. With Beethoven ’s continuo figures for the first time in a modern edition. Beethoven ’s fifth and final Piano Concerto is at the same time the culmination of his efforts in this genre and a reflection of all his artistic skill and expertise. The surviving manuscripts provide a clear insight into his working methods and his intentions regarding the work’s performance. The editor Jonathan Del Mar has closely scrutinised the autograph solo piano part and reproduced Beethoven’ssophisticated performance instructions for the first time in a modern edition. Among other things this has special repercussions for the left-hand figured bass line of the piano part during the tutti passages. As with the Piano Concertos Nos. 1 to 4 the Piano reduction appears with a separate solo part containing all the information needed by the soloist to conduct the ensemble from the Piano.

The String Quintet in E-flat major Op.97 (with two Violas) is the third work Dvo ák composed during his stay in America. “This quintet may be said in three of its movements to show the influence of American life and American music upon the composer” wrote the American music critic Henry Krehbiel on 7 January 1894. The use of particular melodic and rhythmic elements in his American compositions as typically found in Afro-American gospels strengthened the gathering conception considering Dvo ák to be the founder of an American national style of music. The String Quintet in E-flat major was premiered on 12 January 1894 at the Carnegie Halland was published shortly afterwards in score and parts by Simrock. This first edition is the main source for this publication. Corrected Edition 1997-This 1979 composition for Cello and Piano by Alberto Ginastera was written for his young cellist wife Aurora Natola. A grand twenty-minute work made up of four distinct movements moving through aggressive passages and ponderous slower sections. It is rather typical of the late style of Ginastera though not as angular as some of his works it is imbued with folk-like rhythms and motives.

Antonio Caldara (1670–1736) is primarily known for his numerous oratorios and operas which brought him great popularity during his lifetime. Besides these large-scale compositions Caldara also wrote smaller Vocal works of which his “ Stabat Mater ” is the best known. This publication is based on Eusebius Mandyczewski’s edition of the “ Stabat Mater ” which has until now been the definitive edition. The notation and key signatures havebeen adapted to today’s standards. The effective instrumentation with two Trombones and Strings supports the solemn character of the work and enables smaller-scale performances.

Between 1996 and 2000 Bärenreiter published scholarly-critical editions of Beethoven 's Nine Symphonies edited by the first class musicologist Jonathan Del Mar. The editorial process was a huge undertaking because of the complex source situation regarding Beethoven 's Symphonies culminating in the Choral Symphony (No.9) which came down to the publisher in nearly 20 different sources. So it was not surprising that Bärenreiter's new Urtext edition caused a considerable stir in the music world.
