If your requirements or personal preference is rope and not tape then Robinsons has a selection of various ropes to suit. This standard rope has 6 x 0.2mm stainless steel conductors running through its 6mm width to ensure good conductivity. There is 200 metres of rope on the reel, which will cross 28 fence posts, in single strand, at seven metres apart in good fencing areas. Another feature of this fence tape is that it has UV protection to stop the tape degenerating in strong sunlight. The rope is white for visibility. A strong alternative to tape giving good conductivity!* 6mm diameter rope* 6 x 0.2mm stainless-steel conductors* 200 metres reel length* UV protectedElectric Fencing Rope versus Fencing Tape:Because rope has a round narrow contour it is not affected by wind and does not flap around like tape. The smaller area also means less UV sun damage. A strong weave makes for a long lasting, tough rope. A stainless steel conductor is woven through the rope resulting in a highly efficient fence that is as powerful as it needs. Here are the Top Ten rules to make your electric fence work properly!1 Keep your fence as free from growth as possible – Growth impairs the output of every commercial appliance and results in increased power consumption, especially with battery-driven appliances.2 Make sure that the earthing is optimal.3 Do not connect two conductive plastic wires by tying them – Use special conductors.4 Fence wire/tape/rope must not be broken.5 Use conductive material having the best possible conductivity – i.e. Low resistance.6 Keep fence wire and earthing rod free from rust – Rust is an insulator.7 Weather-beaten or nagged insulators are unsuitable – Causes a high loss of output.8 Ensure connection between the energiser and wire is optimal – Use cable resistant to high voltage for underground feeds.9 With battery-driven energisers, check battery condition regularly.10 Ensure that each point of the fence is live using an electric fence tester.

This is a good choice when splitting your field for grazing. The tape gives higher wind resistance than other tapes. It has 4 strand stainless steel conductors running through its 20mm width or 8 strands in the 40mm. To gain maximum current flow the strands are grouped together which also ensures the strands are continually energised. A feature not normally associated with economy grade tapes. There is 200 metres of tape on the reel, which will cross 28 fence posts, in single strand, at seven metres apart in good fencing areas. Another feature of this fence tape is that it has UV protection to stop the tape degenerating in strong sunlight. Quality tape at an economy price!* 20mm or 40mm width tape* 200 metres reel length* 4 strand stainless-steel conductors in the 20mm* 8 strand stainless-steel conductors in the 40mm* UV protectionHere are the Top Ten rules to make your electric fence work properly!1 Keep your fence as free from growth as possible – Growth impairs the output of every commercial appliance and results in increased power consumption, especially with battery-driven appliances.2 Make sure that the earthing is optimal.3 Do not connect two conductive plastic wires by tying them – Use special conductors.4 Fence wire/tape/rope must not be broken.5 Use conductive material having the best possible conductivity – i.e.
