A piece of equipment that encourages an equal contact on both reins, that can be adjusted as the horse develops the right physique, muscles and shape but does it all by encouragement rather than force. The two main elements are the strong, elastic sidepieces and the equaliser. The equaliser clips to each side of the bit with a sliding ring in the centre; the body of the Lungie Bungie runs through the ring, so that however the horse carries its head, the contact is the same each side and he can't lean one way or the other. There are 3 different settings so that you can start lunging on the loosest and progress as the muscles develop and the horse starts to assume the correct shape. Even if the horse does lean into the contact, the give in the elastic mimics the hands of a good rider and encourages him to relax into the contact.Endorsed by leading event riders Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks
