Who Want to Live Forever is a rather grim title given Freddie Mercury’s untimely death but his songs and especially his recordings with Queen will live on forever. The title refers to the immortal Connor MacLeod from the movie Highlander and reached number 24 on the British charts. Now Thijs Oud’s arrangement lets this song live on forever as part of your band’s repertoire.

The magnificent interweaving of harmonies and dialogue-like Voices in Handel 's For Unto Us A Child Is Born make it a perfect addition to the festive choral repertoire. German-born British Baroque composer George Frideric Handel originally composed this piece in 1741 for the English-language oratorio Messiah which eventually became one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music. As the last song of Scene 3 of Part I of the oratorio which addresses Isaiah's specific prophecy about the virgin birth of a Messiah For Unto Us A Child Is Born tells the news of Christmas thebirth of a son in Isaiah's words as found in the Scripture (Isaiah 9:6). The delicate familiar theme is introduced by the Sopranos and taken up by their counter-voices the Tenors later the same dialog is given over to the Altos and Basses. The tutti culminates in 'Wonderful' 'Counselor' 'The Mighty God' 'The Everlasting Father' and 'The Prince of Peace'.

A Hymne To God My God is a composition by renowned composer Michael Ball arranged for quadruple SATB choir as an a cappella performance. The piece is a setting of texts by English poet John Donne and it was commissioned in 1984 by the BBC for the 30th anniversary of the BBC Northern Singers. This wonderful work includes a wealth of lush harmonies created by the sizeable sixteen voices. The solid interplay of 4 different bass melodies lay an immense foundation for the 8 different soprano and alto voices lending an exquisite weight to the lyrical beauty of Donne's poetry. A joy to sing this unique a cappella piece is sure to be the highlight of any performance. As a pupil of Tannanel and successor to Gaubert at the Conservatoire National de Paris he stands in the direct tradition of the 'French School'. How I Stayed in Shape is his last book of studies (1974) presented here for the first time in a trilingual edition (French German English). His pedagogic and artistic experiences are set out in their entirety with the aim of helping professional flute players who have little time to practise and also everyone who loves the flute while not forgetting the music'.
