Short Suite No. 4 is a work in three contrasting movements each of which shares a common melodic motive. The first opens with an antiphonal statement of the main motive followed by march which expands and develops it. Violin 1 Part for George Frideric Handel's Concerto Grosso In G Op.6 No.1 . The Concerti Grossi Op.6 HWV 319-330 are 12 concerti for solo instruments (usually Violins and Cello) accompanied by a four-part string orchestra and Cembalo continuo. Originally published in 1739 they were written to be played during performances of Handel's oratorios and odes and are amongst the finest examples in the genre of Baroque Concerto Grosso.

The popular Swedish children's series Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking) is about an exceedingly strong and strong-willed little girl with red braids - who is the brainchild of Astrid Lindgren. This series has been broadcasted in many countries. I arranged its cheerful theme tune in samba style. Even with the new rhythm the original song is still very recognizable. In the exuberant samba style the percussion plays an important role. Within the Långstrump Samba this is especially clear in the ad libitum percussion solo halfway through the arrangement. The solo can go on as long as desired and offers plenty of freedom because of the free choice of the instruments used.

Cheryl Frances-Hoad's Piano Concerto for Piano and Orchestra. Composed in 2009. Duration: 25 minutes

Today the Gloria RV 589 (BA 7674) is one of Vivaldi ’s best-known compositions and one of the most frequently performed sacred vocal works from the Baroque period. Vivaldi wrote the “ Gloria ” as a self-contained work in the style of a concertante mass. However it was probably also performed within church services. The scoring of the solo voices (SSA) suggests that the work was written during his period at the Ospedale della Pietà around 1716. In the twelve movements of the “Gloria” Vivaldi displays the whole range of his mastery from festive sublime outer movements to tender transparently scored solopassages. The same mastery has also been applied to the “ Kyrie” RV 587 (BA 8950) scored for two choirs and two groups of stringed instruments. The date of its composition remains unclear. It is a purely a choral work without solo passages. Both works can be performed independently but can also be combined as a kind of short mass. Although the authenticity of the autograph manuscript score is beyond doubt these new editions contain some re-evaluations in phrasing and performance practice which go beyond what other editions have to offer. inspired by the traditional song An der Weser- Along the Weser as the title suggests is an homage to the river Weser the beautiful waterway that meanders through Northern Germany. With its exuberant rhythms and lyrical melodic lines the work mirrors the strong bond between theinhabitants of the region and the river itself. The connecting thread is the melody of the well-known ‘An der Weser’ composed by Gustav Pressel to lyrics by Franz von Dingelstedt which has been incorporated in three different ways. The result is acomposition that is sure to be enjoyed by both musicians and audience alike.

This work was commissioned by Eurofestival. Ever since antiquity mankind has been fascinated by the lion: symbolising courage strength and temperance. Many have made use of the lion to represent themselves in symbols and emblems. In five movements the composer describes both the history of the lion throughout centuries as well as the characteristics. A challenging idea to turn into music! The final movement ‘King of Kings’ is extremely spectacular. A great choice for thematic concerts or as a main piece in your concert or contest.
