The New Urtext Editions : Bärenreiter’s pioneering new scholarly-critical editions of Brahms ’ works for one instrument and Piano are edited by a team of musicologists who are also performers. They offer today’s musicians not just a reliable musical text based on all known sources but also a comprehensive approach to the works which aims to place them in their historical context and to elucidate the complex of meanings that the composer wished his notation to convey to performers. In addition to the musical text these editions offer an informative Introduction laying out the genesis publication history and reception of the works. At the same time there is a complete list of the sources an explanation of the editorial procedures and a Critical Commentary. Also each volume contains a detailed discussion of specific performing practice issues raised by individual works. An integral part of Bärenreiter’s Brahms publication complex is a text booklet which approaches general performance practice issues of the 19th century with regard to e.g. tempo rubato rhythmic flexibility and articulation. Furthermore musicians will find valuable information concerning vibrato portamento and bowing. Last but not least characteristics of Brahms ’ own Piano playing as well as that of his circle and contemporaries are discussed. Cantata for the Feast of St. Michael- Herr Gott dich loben alle wir (Lord God we praise Thee all of us) BWV 130 Cantata for the Feast of St. Michael Composed for Michaelmas 1724 Bach's cantata 'Herr Gott dich loben alle wir' belongs to the cycle of chorale cantatas which uses a hymn as perhaps various preachers also did to interptet the ideas of the Biblical texts. The hymn used here composed by Paul Eber in 1554 has twelve stanzas. Texts for two recitatives and two arias were written to go with each of stanzas 2 to 10. Bach used the first stanza as a processional and the last two stanzas were made into a concluding chorale withthe original text. - Urtext of the New Bach Edition

Monologue- A Monodrama with music. Drama by John Stuart Anderson. This work comprises the Old Testament story of Daniel The Burning Fiery Furnace Belshazzar's Feat the Lions' Den Sussanah and the Elders and Bel and the Dragon. All the characters are portrayed by one actor in a highly charged Monologue. Used extensively throughout as a backcloth the musical score also contains a Prelude and Epilogue besides the Motets - which may either be declaimed by the narrator accompanied by the organ or sung by a choir.

Nelsonmesse- The so-called “Nelson Mass” is the third of the six great High Masses that Haydn wrote between 1796 and 1802 for the name-days of Princess Maria Josepha Hermenegild Esterházy. According to the dates given in the autograph he composed the work in the period between 10 July and 31 August 1798. It was thus written in the year of the first performance of the Creation. Christina Rossetti wrote the words to this famous Christmas carol in 1872 in response to a request from the magazine Scribner's Monthly for a Christmas poem. They were set to music by Gustav Holst (1874-1934) for inclusion in the first edition (1906) of The English Hymnal edited by his life-long friend Ralph Vaughan Williams. Earth Water Sun Wind is a four movement work with the unifying theme of these four elements. The music varies from being purely descriptive of the movements’ titles to specific sound painting - Earth for example is pure music and non programmatic whereas Sun attempts to paint a specific sound picture.
