Since there are no original sources or documents concerning the first performance of the funeral cantata Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit BWV 106 it is impossible to establish the year of origin of this work called Actus tragicus by Bach . The striking resemblance to the cantatas BWV 131 Aus der Tiefen rufe ich Herr zu Dir (presumably 1707) and BWV 71 Gott ist mein König (1708) – both of which were composed in Mühlhausen – suggests that the funeral cantata was also written in Mühlhausen in1707. I: 93-104) – the last ones he wrote before his trips to England in 1791-92 and 1794-95. The Symphony in F major is dated 1787 in the autograph score. In this work Haydn borrowed two movements from an earlier piece possibly owing to deadline pressure. The second and fourth movements are arrangements of movements 2 and 3 from his Concerto in F major Hob. VIIh:5 for two “lire organizzate” and orchestra. The fact that he also arranged movements from his other lire concertos suggests that he regarded them as a sort of musicalquarry. Cantata for the 3rd Sunday after Trinity- Ich Hatte Viel Bekümmernis - Lord My God My heart And Soul Were Sore Distrest BWV 21. Cantata for the 3rd Sunday after Trinity. The cantata “Ich Hatte Viel Bekümmernis” dates from around 1713 and was probably performed for the first time that year in the Liebfrauenkirche in Halle. Its assigning to the third Sunday after Trinity probably only occurred the following year. With its large-scale structure and strong emphasis on biblical texts it was extremely popular in the 19th century and remains one of Bach ’s best-known cantatas today. Was mir behagt ist nur die muntre Jagd BWV 208 Congratulatory Cantata for the Birthday of Duke Christian of Saxony-Weissenfels and of Duke Ernst August of Saxony-Weimar The hunting cantata the earliest secular cantata of Bach's which has come down to us was performed for the birthday of Duke Christian of Saxony-Weissenfels (23February) - according to most recent research very probably in the year 1713. It was later performed again for the birthday of Duke Ernst August of Saxony-Weimar (the co-regent of Duke Wilhelm Ernst). Bach's score employs taut musical forms; noteworthy - and entirely characteristic of Bach's early style - is the dominant role of the continuo in recitatives and arias. Voyage Into The Blue was commissioned by the Windbands of Mizumaki Minami Junior High School Koyo Junior High School and Fukuma Junior High School bands performed the work in a competition.The pictorial music describes the voyage of an airplane. The introduction depicts the take-off which is then embellished by the following section marked ‘energico’.The second movement is an attractive setting of the flight itself. The slow section depicts a star-filled night sky. The close presents the landing at dawn: the flight is over.A beautiful and exciting musical journey!
