Between 1996 and 2000 Bärenreiter published scholarly-critical editions of Beethoven 's Nine Symphonies edited by the first class musicologist Jonathan Del Mar. The editorial process was a huge undertaking because of the complex source situation regarding Beethoven 's Symphonies culminating in the Choral Symphony (No.9) which came down to the publisher in nearly 20 different sources. So it was not surprising that Bärenreiter's new Urtext edition caused a considerable stir in the music world. Since publication Del Mar's edition enjoys the unabashed praise of conductors performers and critics alike and has become the mostwidely used publication of the Beethoven Symphonies which can be heard not only every day in concert halls but also on CD recordings by John Eliot Gardiner David Zinman Jos van Immerseel and Claudio Abbado. Full scores study scores and complete performance material to Beethoven 's Nine Symphonies are available for sale.

Saying Goodbye is one of a series of original works in pop rock and swing styles Philip Sparke has composed to try and give brass bands their own popular vocabulary and identity. It could be described as happy-sad in mood a feature of much of Sparke’s slower music. A perfect light addition for your concert.

The inspiration for this piece came from the address of the person who commissioned the work: Morse Street Houston Texas. It pays tribute to the immense skill of the engineers who succeeded in submerging a wire across the Atlantic to send messages in morse code from America to Europe. This technical ingenuity provided the perfect source of material for a transatlantic musical message. This work explores the vast expanse of the Atlantic and makes use of Irish melodies to celebrate the point where the cable enters into the Atlantic Ocean.

18 Recital Pieces in First Position for Cello and Piano or Two Celli-The 18 pieces in Volume 1 are structured to follow the same progression of finger patterns introduced in the “Early” Start method. This systematic progression helps the student to solidify the hand position and improve intonation. The basic bowingtechniques do not require changes in bow speed or sounding point. The young performer can focus on a straight and beautifully placed bow that produces a pleasing and clear sound. The “Cello Recital Album” Volume 1 (BA 8994) can be used as asupplement to the “Early Start on the Cello” method Volumes 1 and 2 (BA 8996 and BA 8997). Charming collections of easy pieces in first position. Each Cello part is supported by a Piano accompaniment for student performances. Alternately a second Cello part allows duo playing with the teacher during lessons. This early introduction to chamber music brings joy and satisfaction to the young cellist and teaches the student to hear the music as a whole. The two volumes are designed as companion publications to the Early Start on the Cello method. However they work equally well as a supplement to any other Cello method. A variety of rarely published works by well-known cellists and pedagogues such as Wilhelm Fitzenhagen HugoSchlemuller and August Nolck make these publications attractive to teachers and students. The Cello Recital Album Volume 1 can be used as a supplement to the Early Start on the Cello method Volumes 1 and 2 (BA 8996 and BA 8997). The 18 pieces in Volume 1 are structured to follow the same progression of finger patterns introduced in the Early Start method. This systematic progression helps the student to solidify the hand position and improve intonation. The basic bowing techniques do not require changes in bow speed or sounding point. The young performer can focus on a straight and beautifully placed bow that produces a pleasing and clear sound. The Cello Recital Album Volume 2 can be used as a supplement to the Early Start on the Cello method Volumes 2 and 3 (BA 8997 and BA 8998). The 12 pieces in Volume 2 are structured to follow the same progression of finger patterns introduced in the Early Start method Volumes 2 and 3. The later repertoire in this volume includes a careful introduction of downward and upward extensions.

The Hornpipe is a typical Celtic solo dance traditionally danced and performed by English sailors. A sound often associated with the Hornpipe is that of the Bódhran an Irish drum made with a sheep’s skin head. John Nijs has taken great care in creating an authentic-sounding Hornpipe in which the Bódhran part is played by the tambourine but sounds just as good!

Bass Coro II- The Missa in F of 1734 for two or four choirs is probably Pergolesi ’s most important work for choir and orchestra. The nickname 'Missa Romana' was added later in reference to a performance given in Rome during Pergolesi ’s lifetime. This Urtext edition presents the work for the first time in the four-choir version that Pergolesi wrote for the above mentioned performance in Rome. Choirs III and IV are reproduced in smaller type and are added to the version for double choir in order to intensify the overall sound. This allows the work to be performed not only with two choirs but also in the delightful enlarged version for fourchoirs. Rounding off the edition are an informative Foreword (Eng/Ger) and a Critical Commentary (Eng). First publication with choirs III and IV. Can be performed with both two or four choirs. Idiomatic well-presented Piano reduction. Full score performance material (BA8958) and vocal score (BA8958-90) available for sale.

Edited with additional material from the Salzburg version In Italy nowadays this term (motet) is applied to a Latin sacred solo cantata consisting of two arias and two recitatives concluding with an Hallelujah and sung during the Mass following the Credo generally by one of the best singers. One composition matching this description is the solo motet Exsultate jubilate K. 165/158a which Mozart wrote in Milan early in 1773 following the highly successful performance of his opera Lucio Silla. In 1978 when the music manuscripts in Bavaria were being sorted and cataloged in a project sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft a set ofmanuscript parts for a previously unknown second version was discovered in the town parish church of St. Jakob in Wasserburg am Inn. The music and text of the concluding Alleluja movement were written out by the Salzburg court bassoonist and copyist Joseph Richard Estlinger (c. 1720-1791) who frequently worked for Mozart and his father. The vocal text of this Salzburg manuscript departs from that of the Milan version in the first aria and in the recitative. It was entered in a different hand. The Salzburg version of the text is clearly related to the feast of the Holy Trinity. There is much evidence that this version was sung for the first time in the Dreifaltigkeitskirche on 30 May 1779 (i. e. Trinity Sunday) by the Salzburg male soprano Francesco Ceccarelli during a service mentioned by Nannerl Mozart. On that day Leopold and Wolfgang Mozart together with Ceccarelli were invited to the church's vicarage at midday. The additional text underlaying of the first aria enabled the solo motet to be employed for the Christmas service as well. - Urtext of the New Mozart Edition - Full score performance material (BA4897) and vocal score (BA4897-90) available for sale
