They have also dropped the weight of the bike by half a pound, this is done by shaving weight from areas like the shock tubes, bottom bracket forging, lower yoke area and drop outs. However the 5.7 is 20% stiffer the the Mach 5 thanks to an increased diameter top and down tube. A lower bottom bracket height, more relaxed geometry and slightly taller headtubes add up to better stability and increased rider confidence on the trail and on the race course.
