These cufflinks are made exclusively for us using an amazing technique, perfected in Taxco in Central Mexico. A thin sheet of sterling silver is compressed causing it to crumple and ripple. It is then cut to size and oxidised to create a contemporary 2-tone gunmetal and silver finish. This technique produces a lighter weight cufflink despite their chunky appearance. It is not the same as the sparkly green amber sold on most sites which is artificailly altered to create the colour. As part of our plan to support local British businesses, we have worked with Joan Laverick (who is a specialist in authentic Victorian seaglass) and jeweller Justin Duance to create these stunning cufflinks. Truly British. The seaglass pebbles are combed from beaches on the coast of County Durham and are hand set into sterling silver for us in Cornwall. The silver is brushed to give a matt finish that complements the frosted finish of the glass.
