Very large 4200mm x 3000mm carpet from the famous Isfahan area of Iran (Isfahan is a world heritage site) and is known for making the finest wool carpets anywhere in the world today. Made in the 60's this is in exceptional condition and is a typical design of this era. As one would expect of a carpet from this area it contains a very symetrical design around a central motif and surrounded with vines. It is handknotted wool with silk highlights.
