You will enter their enclosure with the keeper at feeding time and assist in feeding them - you will find that they are extremely friendly and curious and they will treat you like a human climbing frame!

This is a unique opportunity to feed a big cat by hand from outside the enclosure, with the assistance of one of the park's experienced keepers. Imagine getting so close to these magnificent cats that you can feel their breath on your face. Stood just inches away you will be able to appreciate the true size of these animals as they stand on their hind legs and gently take the food from your hands. This is a big cat enthusiast's dream come true. On arrival you will be given a safety briefing and taken to the enclosure. With the keeper at hand you will then feed a big cat through the bars. You will also get the chance to learn a little more about the magnificent cats housed at the park, including lions, snow leopards and cheetahs.

Pursue the Lady of the Stream in the Garden of Eden. Try fishing for the attractive and hard fighting grayling using traditional methods on Cumbria's beautiful river Eden, a river that supports an unusual and exceptionally rich aquatic flora with 183 plant species recorded; the highest of all rivers in Britain. A SSSI that has Special Area of Conservation status for white clawed crayfish, bullheads, 3 species of lamprey, Atlantic salmon, water crowfoot and otters. The river is also of high invertebrate interest for species associated with river shingles and sandbanks. The Eden supports a high diversity of breeding birds. The sand martins nesting in the riverbanks comprise the largest colony in Cumbria and this area is of regional importance for wintering wildfowl and otters. Learn about the river, its wildlife, the life history, habits and food of the grayling, watercraft, stealth, and how to master the forgotten art of trotting a float, using a centre pin reel with a fully qualified and insured instructor in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. All tackle, bait, rods, permits and tuition are provided, wellies and waders can also be provided.

If you love horses - you'll be fascinated by this special activity day-out. You'll join a professional Equine vet as they spend the day caring for horses. There's masses to learn and enjoy. You will be 'Shadowing' one of the equine veterinary surgeons throughout the day, which could include routine or emergency visits, watching consultations, some lab work if interested and some x-ray and/or ultrasound work. Ever wanted to be a zoo keeper? Then this full day encounter is for you! Get up close and personal with a wide variety of our animals as you experience all aspects of animal care! Your duties will include cleaning, feeding, food preparation, helping at our daily events and many more. Lunch is included in your day. Please note there is no active involvement with our carnivore section (big cats and wolves).

Enjoy a session with one of the trained reptile staff assisting with the care and presentation of a number of reptiles including chameleons, bearded dragons, boa constrictors, tarantulas, pythons, corn snakes and bugs! Your experience will be centred around the new reptile temple based on the 'Angkor' temples of Cambodia. Under the supervision and guidance of the very patient reptile keepers you will get to 'face your phobia' and handle non-venomous snakes and other reptiles. And for those who have trouble with spiders in your baths - the biggest challenge will be to hold a tarantula. You are under no pressure to do anything that you need time to do, and you will be given as much time and encouragement as you need. You will feel a real sense of achievement and will receive a presentation certificate to prove how brave you really are! The package includes tickets for two people to enter Paradise Wildlife park (only one person will receive the face your phobia experience).

Take a visit to the UK's only herd of reindeer roaming freely around the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. These extremely tame and friendly animals are a joy to all who come and see them. There are currently around 150 reindeer in the wild and approximately 50 of them are ranging freely in the Cairngorm Mountains. They're beautiful, gentle and you'll find they have similar traits to humans. It won't take you long to realise that they belong in the wild and should be protected. Not only will you get to meet these reindeer, you're also entitled to one year’s adoption of one of the centre's reindeer. This voucher entitles two adults entry to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre and one years adoption of one of the centre's reindeer. Visits are escorted and take place once a day in the winter and twice a day in the summer. The trip itself involves a short drive in your own car followed by a 20 minute walk onto the hill. During your walk you can choose which reindeer you wish to adopt, and the adoption pack will be sent to you in the post. Your adoption includes a certificate and photograph of your chosen reindeer, additional information on reindeer and souvenirs along with two newsletters.

Enjoy personal tuition from a professional instructor on one of the UK's beautiful trout lakes and rivers. You'll be wet fly fishing - this means that you are using a fly travelling through the water to attract the fish. It's much more of a skill than course fishing, but easier to learn than dry fly fishing. This is a great opportunity to try your hand at one of life's more serene activities. After a warm welcome on arrival you'll first learn a little about the theory behind the art of fly fishing and have the opportunity to get to grips with casting before you go down to the water. With a fly attached to your line you try your luck, with the instructor always on hand to advise on fishing techniques. Savour the fresh air and tranquillity and you never know you might catch a trout or two! All the equipment you need is provided.

Missing the TV programme? Now you can try your hand at guiding sheep into a pen, with a faithful sheepdog to help you. This is a unique opportunity to try your hand at the traditional art of sheep dog herding. Your day will begin with a short talk on the dogs and their instincts and then you'll be introduced to the dogs. The morning will be spent learning the dogs' 'language' in a training ring and working 2 or 3 different dogs. For lunch, 'Shepherds' usually go to the local pub or you can bring a 'pack-up'. In the afternoon, you will be learning to work dogs loose in the field and finish moving a small flock of sheep round the field and completing a small course. The sense of achievement you'll feel when you've finally got all the sheep in the pen is second to none!

This is a unique opportunity to experience the awesome thrill and power of a top class sleddog team in training for European events and mountain expeditions. The session starts with a video and talk in a traditional grass roofed log cabin. You will enjoy hands-on time with the sleddogs, followed by a nip of whisky or a hot drink. You experience ends with a remote forest trip with 12 very special sleddogs, lasting approximately one hour.

If you have a love of animals and you find yourself watching nature programmes and wishing that you were there, then this experience will give you a taste of what it's like to meet many animals face-to-face. This is an exciting, educational and interactive experience. You will learn fascinating facts about each animal and there is a great range of exotic and more common animals you'll get to meet, including; meerkats, rabbits, snakes, guinea pigs, spiders, hissing cockroaches, scorpions, kune kune pigs, pigmy goats, horses, lizards and more. What's more you'll even get to watch magnificent birds of prey take to the sky - quite simply a breath taking sight. Your experience will begin with refreshments as you meet your animal guide for the day who will explain what you are going to see. During your experience there will be plenty of opportunities to handle a selection of the animals and ask any questions you may have. Don't worry if you don't fancy handling some of the animals, you won't be forced to. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture those unique pictures.

Llamas are unique animals, they're easy to train, they can be very sociable and they are protective of themselves and their herd. On this experience you will get to learn their fascinating history, how to handle them and their behaviour towards humans and other llamas. The main part of the experience is a trek with the llamas across beautiful countryside. Llamas walk at a gentle pace of around two miles an hour so this is a wonderfully relaxed journey. If you love your animals, the llama is definitely one you should meet. Your experience begins with an introduction to llamas followed by instruction on handling the llamas. You will then commence your trek where you walk and lead your llama through the local countryside. After the trek you may have some time back at the farm to meet the other llamas but the exact format varies depending on the location. Please check on booking.

Spend the day with our Big Cat Keepers and discover just how much fun you can have looking after Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Jaguars and Snow Leopards. Assist the keepers and really get your hands dirty cleaning out enclosures and preparing food; something that is definitely not for the squeamish! After you have spent the morning pampering our felines you will hand feed one of our Big Cats, a truly memorable experience not to be missed.
