Then it's time to walk out to the aircraft where you will be taken on a 'walk round' to see the main control surfaces of the aircraft. Your instructor will take off and then demonstrate some basic manoeuvres. Then it's your turn! Imagine yourself sitting a few inches from the ground and racing across the sand at speeds of up to (and over) 40mph with no brakes! After an initial briefing, you'll experience your first sail at low speed and you'll practice how to stop your land yacht too! You'll then progress to a figure of eight course learning safe, controlled turns. If you show good control at this level, you can go on to learn a more difficult manoeuvre called a gybe turn. It's fantastic fun!

Ever dreamed of being a pop star even if it’s just for a day? Now you can record a song of your dreams at a recording studio. This could be your stepping stone to the stars! On arrival at the studio, a professional sound engineer will help you select a backing track for your recording. We recommend that you sing a known track, rather than your own composition. After about half an hour setting up the equipment and discussing the project, the recording session starts. The vocals will be put on last and, depending on the experience of the participant, there should be enough time to mix the song and add final touches. At the end of the day you will take home your song on CD or audio cassette.

This full day programme includes a morning visit to a trainer's stable, a trip to the gallops to see the horses at exercise and, of course, entrance to the members' enclosure for an afternoon at the races. This is a great chance to combine driving modern racing cars, including a fabulous Formula Ford single seater, with some of the classic cars of yesteryear. The programme starts with a training session in an Alfa Romeo, Ford or similar suitable saloon. Your instructor will drive you around the circuit explaining the racing line, braking and gear changing points. After a couple of laps you'll change places and you will have the chance to put into practice the points you have just learned, with your instructor by your side. Next Goodwood's sweeping circuit is open to you as you take the wheel of a Formula Ford 2000 single seater racing car. This is a full 2 litre winged racer, with slick tyres and Hewland gear box. After more than 10 miles impersonating Jenson Button you'll need a breather! A change of pace follows as you are given two of the following cars to master. You could be behind the wheel of a svelte E Type Jaguar, a rumbling replica AC Cobra, a majestic Aston Martin, Chevrolet Corvette, or a scintillating Porsche 911 RS. You will drive three laps in each car. Again an instructor will accompany you to help you savour these wonderful old cars, which all have their own idiosyncrasies, not to mention lots of horse power!
