The York Dungeon invites you to delve into the city’s most blood-curdling history. Live actors, shows and special effects transport you back to those black, bleak times...are you brave enough? New for 2010 Witches: Burned Alive The witch hunt is on! Hear the screams and feel the heat as the accused are burnt alive before your eyes. Will you escape the persecution or will you meet your end at the stake? On purchasing this experience, you will receive a voucher which will admit two adults and two children. You will need to take this with you to the Dungeon and exchange for your ticket at the advance ticket booth. You do not need to book your experience, although we recommend that you check the attraction is open on your chosen day before arriving.The Dungeons are not suitable for very young children or those of a nervous disposition.

This is the only Beatrix Potter themed attraction in Europe, where you can visit Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-duck and many other delightful characters. Inside you'll find all 23 tales by Beatrix Potter, brought to life in a magical indoor recreation of the Lakeland countryside, complete with sights, sounds and even smells. So you can meet Peter Rabbit in Mr. McGregor's garden, discover Jemima Puddle-duck in the woodland glade and visit Mrs. Tiggy-winkle in her kitchen. Explore the life of Beatrix Potter in 'The Miss Potter Room' which has unique virtual walk displays, a short film presentation and innovative exhibits about Beatrix Potter and her pioneering life. So whoever your favourite characters are, it's only a hop, skip and jump to meet Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-duck, Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Tom Kitten and many more, in the magical World of Beatrix Potter. To make the experience perfect, you're also entitled to afternoon tea in the unique Tailor of Gloucester Tea Room or outdoors on the garden terrace, where you can see The Enchanting World of Beatrix Potter sculpture, which was unveiled in the presence of Renée Zellweger. Your voucher entitles you entry to the attraction for family of four and afternoon tea for two (consisting of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, homemade cakes and a pot of tea) and two children's lunch baskets (containing a sandwich, a drink, a packet of crisps and a piece of fruit).
