Robert Applebaum is one of our favorite new composers; this piece has gotten a lot of attention. The ethereal almost precarious setting and lilting chord progressions amongst this Hebrew prayer for peace seem to convey a poignant statement about the elusiveness of peace and the consequences of its absence. Extremely powerful.
