The traditions of Christmas hymns and carols reach virtuallyaround the world. Stephen Bulla’s Russion Carol Variationsis based on a jubilant Russian folk melody. Allow the musicto conjure an imaginary picture of Russian winter scenescomplete with heavy snowfall and adventurous sleigh rides.

Charles Wesley has given the church some of its most popular and eloquent hymns that have shown the ability to stand the test of time. ‘O for a Thousand Tongues Sing’ was written to celebrate what Wesley referred to as his ‘second birth’. Wesley marked this day as the day he responded to the love and grave of God.

This arrangement is an energetic march that provides a spirited setting for the familiar bell melodies of the season. The main tunes featured are Carol of the Bells I Heard the Bells and Jingle Bells but you will also hear several other tunes woven into the music.

James Curnow's brilliant opener A Christmas Flourish is the inspiring and spirited fanfare needed to start your next holiday concert with flair. Based on Angels We Have Heard On High this flourish works its way through several style and mood changes including themes from several other well-known carols. Dazzling!

Based on JS Bach’s chorale ‘Sleepers Awake’ this very dignified work presents the chorale and then in turn an exciting treatment of reworked fragments of the melody in a colourful and contemporary harmonic setting.

for Euphonium with piano accompaniment-Through variations in tempo and tone the Symphonic Variants bring forth the sonority of the euphonium and the skills of the soloist. The work begins with an allegro con espressivo statement of the theme and alternates with adagio and allegro con spirito variations. Lento presto and pesante treatments add further interest to the composition. This version for Euphonium and Piano is a must for all advanced Euphonium players.
