Mitchell Parish écrit le texte en 1950. Depuis de nombreux artistes tels que les Carpenters Ella Fitzgerald et Diana Ross ont interprété et enregistré cette chanson. Cet arrangement pour ensemble à instrumentation variable (batterie ad lib. ) reste fidèle à la version originale.

for violin-This is a wonderful collection of klezmer music inspired by the Jewish dances and songs of the klezmorim from Eastern Europe - from the lyrical HORA to the fast compelling FREILACH. Some of the pieces have a second part ad libitum - for playingtogether or for variation in a repeat. For the accompaniment chord symbols have been added and on the included CD there are complete versions as well as play-along versions of all pieces played live by genuine klezmer musicians.

The pieces have been written especially for this book by top composers from all over the world including Jan Van der Roost Jacob de Haan Martin Ellerby and Otto M. Schwarz. Nearly all aspects of saxophone playing are addressed including melodic interpretation tone quality dynamics and vibrato. The rich range of colours and the melodic character of the studies also make them very suitable for playing at exams or recitals. A demo CD is included with performances byNobuya Sugawa to give you an idea of how the studies should be played.

Intermediate level pieces for trumpet and piano- Excursions are eight exciting musical journeys for trumpet and piano taking you to Spain the Sahara or the Antarctic. On each of these trips the intermediate trumpeter has to face a special - very trumpet-specific - challenge of a musical or technical nature. This could be using various mutes looking at ways to correct your intonation or adding ornaments. On the CD the trumpet part was recorded live by Allen Vizzutti; for each piece an accompaniment to play-along with is also provided. Playing together with a pianist is rewarding for both musicians as these pieces are actually duets for trumpet and piano as equal partners.

Piano Accompaniment-In the study of the saxophone the 48 Etudes by Will Ferling play an important role. These well-known exercises are commonly used by advanced saxophone students to develop their technical and melodic skills. André Waignein has composed piano accompaniments to these Etudes which will give this music a completely new dimension.
