Satoshi Yagisawa has lived in Ichikawa City Chiba Prefecture in Japan since he was in elementary school. Around Christmas time every year in Ichikawa City seven Chiba high school bands hold a joint concert. For the 20th anniversary the composer was asked to write a piece to be performed to close the concert. This piece was first performed in 2010 by Tadashi Yoshida conductor and close friend of Satoshi Yagisawa with a combined wind orchestra from Chiba Prefectural Kokubun High School Chiba Prefectural Ichikawa Nishi High School Chiba Prefectural Matsudo Mutsumi High School Chiba Prefectural Matsudo Akiyama High School Chiba Prefectural Matsudo Yakiri High School Chiba Prefectural Funabashi Nishi High School and Chiba Prefectural Shiroi High School. The title was chosen from suggestions submitted by participating students. Dream Cruise was chosen by Satomi Otsu a junior in Chiba Prefectural Matsudo Mutsumi High School Wind Orchestra. The composer skillfully scored this piece and created the chorus part so that all the hundreds of students could participate in the performance. This version has been revised so it can be played without the chorus part.

Following Malletino and Fun-4-All this work is the third in a series of compositions for five mallet instruments and five percussion instruments (including bongos and timpani). Malletino was written specifically for beginnerpercussion ensembles whereas the technical and musical level required for Sequenza Percussola is clearly higher. In short this work is a challenge for the ensemble-and a great pleasure for the audience.

Dreaming of love. This is the theme of the folksong on which the composition was based. Its characteristic melody inspired Jacob de Haan to this instrumental romance with a transparent structure consisting of an introduction the folk-melody a development of the theme the folk-melody accompanied by ornamental triplets followed by the final bars.

Sonata from die Bänkelsängerlieder-A cantastoria or Bänkelsänger – German for busker – was a travelling musician who made music in streets and squares together with his colleagues. Die Bänkelsängerlieder (buskers songs) originally stem from the seventeenth century. Robert van Beringen who is known for his attractive arrangements of classical melodies created a colourful transcription for wind band based on this characteristic music.

Norda Tango (Northern Tango) was inspired during a circus production in 1996. The music played live by an accordion duo defined the atmosphere and the action of a virtuoso trapeze artist. In 1997 Foppe Jacobi rewrote Norda Tango for accordion orchestra to be performed at a regional accordion festival.

partly based on the chorale Schmücke dich o liebe Seele-Adornia is a word invented by the composer with a similar meaning as ‘to adorn’ which means 'to embellish'. The thematic cornerstones are DORN after the commissioning band CMV Juliana in Doornspijk Netherlands. It also contains the chorale ‘Schmücke dich du liebe Seele’ used several times in different variations. Adornia contains beautiful melodies broad dynamic passages and has a spectacular conclusion.

On O Come All Ye Faithfull- Christmas Prelude is a festive composition on the Christmas carol O Come All Ye Faithful . A quiet march-like introduction representing the procession to worship is followed by three verses of the well-known carol: once from a quartet then shared between the various instrumental groups. A festively embellished section leads to an interlude symbolising the start of Christmas celebrations before a spectacular conclusion.
