from Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo-Buckaroo Holiday was written by the famous twentieth centuryAmerican composer Aaron Copland. It comes from the successfulcowboy ballet Rodeo which Copland composed in 1942. BuckarooHoliday contains many syncopated rhythms and convincinglyconveys cowboy life (the word buckaroo is derived from the Spanishword vaquero meaning cowboy). However some melodious lyricismis also present. This fine transcription for concert band has beenproduced by Ed Keeley and certainly does justice to the original.

for Solo Flute & Concert Band-This arrangement of Colin Cowles' Halibut Troll (from his Fishy Fantasies volume) off ers an excellent work for the young fl ute soloist to perform with a developing concert band. from The Wild Swans Suite- Eliza’s Aria is a classical aria from the ballet Wild Swans composed by Uzbekistan composer Elena Kats-Chernin. The piece was first recorded by soprano Jane Sheldon and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and released on the ABC Classics label. This recording was subsequently used in the 2007 Lloyds TSB “For the Journey” television and cinema advertisements and also received extensive radio airplay in December 2007. It was also used as the basis for “The Journey Continues” a dance track by DJ Mark Brown featuring Sarah Cracknell of Saint Etienne which was released in February 2008.
