Forest Fantasies was inspired by the reading of Edmund Spencers poems of elfin lore and is of one of the most famous works by brilliant childrens composer Walter Carroll the Beatrix Potter of learner piano music whose use of music poetry and artin his now classic albums have appealed to successive generations of children. As a result they are still widely used on exam syllabi and by teachers around the world nearly a century after they were written. This volume contains nine pieces designedto develop the players phrasing and pedalling technique. Suggested grade 3 Forest Fantasies consists of nine short pieces for the Piano by Walter Carrol. The composer has been inspired by the poems of Edmund Spencer and other elfin lore as well as his childhood memories in a quiet corner of Galloway.
