Né dans le village toscan de Monsummano Alto en Italie Ivo Livi est parti de rien pour arriver au sommet. Mais il n'oubliera jamais ceux d'en bas cultivant intelligemment conscience culturelle et conscience politique et sociale. En soixante-dix ans d'une vie bien remplie Montand est entré dans le panthéon de la culture française. AndréWaignein lui rend hommage à travers un medley de trois de ses plus belles chansons : C’est si bon Les Feuilles Mortes et À Paris .

This work depicts the overwhelming enthusiasm joy and vitality that is prevalent in many concert bands. Following a solemn opening the piece builds until we hear the first highly energetic theme. The middle section seeks to emphasise the close bond and the deeper values which unify the members of the band. In the final section the energetic atmosphere of the beginning returns leading to a strong intense conclusion. Be careful this piece is very contagious!

All regions of the world have their own traditions and customs and thus their own national and local festivities as well.These are often expressed in dance and music. Sunshine Samba has been composed in the spirit of a Latin American festival. From the first bars the composition is filled with a cheerful atmosphere with the spontaneous-sounding unpretentious music inviting the audience to join in with the fun.

It was a huge success and in 1984 Richie sang his hit for an audience of millions during the closing ceremony of the Olympics in Los Angeles. Today this song is a dance floor classic.

The group Teach-In from the Netherlands won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 with the song Ding-a-Dong. It was the fourth time that a Dutch entry had won the prestigious festival but since then no Dutch artist has even come near first place again. The original Ding-a-Dong was performed in keeping with tradition with the accompaniment of a large orchestra. This sparkling arrangement of the catchy song provides a cheerful note in every concert. The melody will certainly stay in the audience’s memory long after the performance.

Call of the Clans (“L’appel des clans”) est un voyage musical à travers les Highlands (Hautes-Terres) d’Écosse une région de montagnes aux contours déchiquetés de collines verdoyantes de lacs aux eaux cristallines de châteaux en ruines et de villages pittoresques jadis organisés en clans. Chaque clan peut s’enorgueillir de posséder un patrimoine riche en traditions conquis et défendu par le fer et par le feu. C’est ainsi que les superbes Highlands devinrent le théâtre de nombreuses guerres et luttes entre clans. Call of the Clans de Kevin Houben est une confrontation musicale dans un style authentiquement écossais. Accompagnés d’une mélodie entraînante lesclans se préparent à défendre leurs traditions sous un ciel menaçant. Lying on high calcareous sandstone rocks are the monumental monasteries of Meteora a region in northcentral Greece which look down over the valley of the Pinios River. This region inspired Kevin Houben to compose Valley of the Pinios . You can almost hear the wind swirl around the chalk rocks. The sacred atmosphere of the monasteries the prayers the solitude the grandness of the valley and the splendour of nature are all reflected in this inspirational composition.

The evergreen My Way originally a French chanson (Comme d’Habitude) was written by Jacques Revaux and Gillies Thibault and first released by Claude Francois in 1967. Paul Anka wrote the English lyrics which were used by Frank Sinatra who made it in to the American charts with his world famous interpretation in 1969. Since then the song has been covered by a variety of pop stars including Elvis Presley. This arrangement is based on the Elvis version and within it the chorus appears in a swinging blues style. This popular song will be ideal for that spectacular ending to your concert.
