F major- Between 1996 and 2000 Bärenreiter published scholarly-critical editions of Beethoven 's Nine Symphonies edited by the first class musicologist Jonathan Del Mar. The editorial process was a huge undertaking because of the complex source situation regarding Beethoven 's Symphonies culminating in the Choral Symphony (No.9) which came down to the publisher in nearly 20 different sources. So it was not surprising that Bärenreiter's new Urtext edition caused a considerable stir in the music world. Since publication Del Mar's edition enjoys the unabashed praise of conductors performers and critics alike and has become the most widely used publication ofthe Beethoven Symphonies which can be heard not only every day in concert halls but also on CD recordings by John Eliot Gardiner David Zinman Jos van Immerseel and Claudio Abbado. Marche comique- Il Presidente is a humorous march depicting a president’s appearance before his people! The president’s convoy is accompanied by a grand fanfare as he pulls up in his car. The people cheer and wave as the president starts to deliver his speech. Slowly their mood begins to shift and they become restless. Finally bored the people begin to drift away. Features of the Barenreiter Urtext edition of Mendelssohn ’s setting of Psalm 98 (Singet Dem Herrn / Sing To The Lord) : Bilingual Foreword (Ger/Eng) and Critical Commentary (Eng) Words underlaid in both German and English Piano reduction based on the first printed edition Full score performance material (BA9076) and vocal score (BA9076-90) available for sale Mendelssohn composed his setting of Psalm 98 (Singet Dem Herrn / Sing To The Lord) in the space of just a few weeks to satisfy a commission in his new position as general musicdirector of Prussia. The work was premiered by the Berlin Cathedral Choir on 1 January 1844. As Mendelssohn neither released the work for publication nor produced a vocal score his psalm setting did not appear in print until after his death. For this edition the authoritative Mendelssohn specialist John Michael Cooper drew primarily on the autograph score with its many subsequent corrections and amendments. In this way it differs from many other editions which tend to treat the autograph as a subordinate source. Rounding off the edition are an informative Foreword and a detailed Critical Commentary. The Piano reduction is based on the first printed edition which was published by F. Kistner and Evers & Co. in 1851.

Authoritative Urtext edition of Johann Sebastien Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.4 In G Major BWV 1049 . The six Brandenburg Concertos BWV 1046-1051 prized jewels of the world's musical heritage were written in 1721 during Bach's appointment in Cothen. Of the six works Bach originally wrote earlier versions of numbers 1 and 5 which differ not only with regard to articulation but also at times different tones different rhythms instrumentation and of course form. These Urtext publications [BA 5201-BA 5206] taken from the New Bach Edition now give performers the possibility to play these earlierversions perhaps even alongside the version known today.

Seven entertaining and motivating late elementary piano solos full of things that boys tend to love such as strong rhythms big sounds and unexpected harmonies. The pieces also require athletic leaps of the hands and all these things combine to generate the extra motivation that boys sometimes need to practice. However this is not to say that girls will not enjoy exactly the same pieces!
