To this day Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) remains one of the most prolific composers for wind instruments despite being a violinist himself. His Three Evocations for 2 Flutes is an exquisite addition to the repertoire. During his studies at the Paris Conservatoire Bozza won prizes for Violin conducting and composition as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. He then conducted the orchestra of the Opéra-Comique and became Head of the Conservatoire in Valenciennes whilst remaining a prominent composer. Bozza 's Three Evocations are exciting duets containing much musical variation andcontrast suitable for advanced flautists. As music educationalist Paul Griffiths has written of Bozza 's compositions 'his works reveal melodic fluency elegance of structure and a consistently sensitive concern of instrumental capabilities.'

(2nd Symphonette for Symphonic Band) Op. 52- Equestrian Symphonette was written for the Orchestre d’Harmonie de Laval France. Laval is the capital town of the department of Mayenne and the surrounding countryside is home to many thoroughbred race horse stables. The composition incorporates the principal gaits of the horse (walk trot canter and gallop) as the musical cornerstones of this work and incorporates into the composition colourful depictions of the natural environment and surroundings as well as the characteristics of each stride. Interesting rhythmical patterns together with rich melodies are interwoven throughout this original piece which makes it an excellent choice for a contest or as anenterprising part of your concert.

The piano part has been thoroughly re-worked for this new vocal score of Schubert’s Mass in A-flat major (D 678). This project is the result of extensive research and careful elaboration aiming at offering representative material on the most varied styles of Brazilian music to professional musicians students teachers and all those who take a general interest in this field of music.The focus of this series is on the language of instrumental music nowadays performed in Brazil based on elements of modern improvisation. Each volume contains two CDs with seven pieces of music which are presented in the following versions:1.
