Composed by Federico Mompou Préludes Pour Piano is a set of four pieces with two hands for upper intermediate players. It covers the Preludes n°1 to 4 written in 1928. Each of these preludes is written on one to four pages and can be played separately. The first one is short to be played like a romance with chords only. The second one lasts longer and features distinctive parts starting with an energetic section followed by a sudden musical burst the rest of it being slower until the animated close. The third prelude is quite slow and very expressive while the last piece of this book is quite short and simple. Federico Mompou was a Spanish pianist and composer. He composed numerous pieces for Piano and some songs.

Having been considered as a 'fashionable' and 'cliché' composer of his day Hahn 's compositions are possibly not as well-known as they ought to be. études Latines however shatter these prejudices held representing the engaging diversity of the composer's music. Venezuelan born Reynaldo Hahn (1875-1947) entered the Paris Conservatoire at 10 years old. He received a high standard of musical education from Decombes Lavignac Dubois and Massenet before becoming a prolific and versatile composer himself writing works for all genres. For Hahn music was a magical art and his compositions often containexpressions of his otherwise hidden emotions and moods. With each of the ten pieces in études Latines arranged for a different selection of solo or ensemble voices Hahn 's études Latines provides pleasant and evocative pieces incorporating a range of expressions rhythms and other musical features.

Nicolai Mass- The name of the Missa Sancti Nicolai refers to the composition of the Mass for St. Nicholas Day in 1772. Every year on this day a Mass was held in honor of the Prince of Esterhazy who shared his name-day with St. Nicholas. It is thought that Haydn wrote this composition specifically to thank the Prince for allowing him to return to Eisenstadt. Some years later trumpet and timpani parts were added to the work. As with the Great Organ Mass these additional parts were not actually written by Haydn himself but simply authorized by him. They are included in the score and performance material so that both versions can beperformed. Urtext from the Haydn Complete Edition Performable in both versions Full score performance material (BA4645) vocal score (BA4645-90) available for sale

Hilarion Eslava (1807-1878) was a Spanish priest musician and pedagogue. Although he was a prolific and well-known composer in his own time today he is primarily remembered for his 1846 work Metodo De Solfeo a successful Solfège Method which has been in constant use all over the world for more than 150 years. Having been a choirboy at Pamplona the method was published while Eslava was choirmaster at the Royal Chapel in Madrid and he undoubtedly used it as he was training the choristers there.
