Pascal Proust has many years of experience as a musician and music teacher. His works include several hundred compositions for the most diverse range of instrumentations. He wrote 14 Easy Trombone Quartets for trombone players who have around3 years of experience and paid special attention to an easy-to-follow and attractive musical style. These quartets are ideal performance and competition works for young trombone ensembles.

This three-movement symphony musically depicts the history of Hungary. Key historical figures wars and other important events from this country inspired all three movements. The first movement depicts Atilla the King of the Huns and is characterised by fear threat and aggression. The second movement focuses on Árpád the founder of the Hungarian State and the final movement is named after István the King who introduced Christianity into Hungary. The beautiful theme of the national hymn appears throughout the symphony however it is often partially hidden. It is used as a “thread ” hardly recognizable at the beginning becoming more and more obvious near the end and itconcludes the symphony as the “final apotheosis ” making the band sound like a majestic living organ.

(Extended Edition)- Frontier Vision is a concert or contest piece based on three elements: the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of Reformation Day the Martin Luther melody A Mighty Fortress Is Our God ( Ein Feste Burg ist unser Gott ) on whichthis composition is based and thirdly the spreading of the evangelical movement in the late 19th century of which the analogous storyline forms the structural basis of this work. Multi-cultural ethnic influences along with the driving rhythms thatreflect the perseverance and hard work of those mission-minded pioneers are both important components that make Frontier Vision an outstanding choice for your concert or contest. Frontier Vision was the test piece for the seconddivision in the Dutch National Brass Band Championships 2017.

Ragtime is a piece that grew directly out of the 'Ragtime' section of A Soilder's Tale . It is scored for a small chamber orchestra of eleven instruments: flute clarinet two horns trombone big drum snare drum side drum cymbals cimbalom first and second violin viola and double bass. The cimbalom assumes a prominent almost soloistic role as Stravinsky only became aware of it in 1915 and sought to use it whenever possible thereafter.

This rousing jubilant overture mixes five original themes with the well-known doxology Old Hundredth which is also known as Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow . The hymn is presented in short lyrical energetic motif fragments which combine until the complete hymn is presented in the form of a chorale prelude. This is a wonderful and truly uplifting concert work.

A bold trumpet motive will grab attention right from the start! What follows is a majestic theme tuneful and bright that will let young musicians sound their best.
