Fanfare for Billy- Salute to a Hero was composed to honour the work of a truly deserving musician teacher and conductor. It opens with a noble brass fanfare with woodwind ornamentation. Following a short interlude the opening fanfare is again heard this time being played by the full band. A lyrical middle section follows providing a beautiful and peaceful contrast to the powerful sound of the brass section. The fanfare makes one final appearance bringing the work to a triumphant close.

These 30 Original Chorales and Warm-Ups have been designed to develop the most important aspects of band playing by providing material that can be used at the start of a rehearsal to test balance dynamics tuning flexibility and articulation. Seven FallsSeven Falls est le nom d’une superbe cascade haute de cinquante-cinq mètres et dont l’eau cristalline descend le long de sept marches moulées dans le décor granitique de Pikes Peak. Set in three movements the concerto aims to explore the close relationship as solo instruments between the trumpet and euphonium exploiting the many common factors between the two as well as the subtly different characteristics they possess in terms of both lyrical and rhythmic playing. The first movement is a bustling toccata and the second movement is lyrical and improvisatory in nature. A fantastic piece and a great addition to the repertoire!
